I put little stock in what Truman said to be frank. Tommy Franks book explains almost all of this but you need to also read Paul Bremers book. He faced serious problem when he commanded Iraq and the Iraqis themselves caused much of their own problems after they got rid of Saddam.

I have Tommy Franks' book in my library. I haven't read Bremer's book, but he was in Iraq for a little over a year. The Americans were there for more than eight years. He is correct that the Iraqis made most of their own problems. That is why it was called the Iraq "WAR" for those eight years. I think GWB believed he was doing the right thing but got some bad advice on all that and it was wrong to invade Iraq in 2003. I thought so then. After all these years and all the history we know, I think so now.

When you visit your doctor, you delegate to your doctor. Does this mean when the Doctor makes a mistake it is because of you the patient?

Well perhaps it is a matter of semantics but I don't delegate to my doctor. I contract with my doctor for his/her services. If he/she does his/her job poorly, that is not my fault, but if I know he/she is doing a bad job I will take my business elsewhere.

That is very different than me having the authority to assign/delegate my doctor to some task I think he/she is suited for. And once I delegate that, it is still my responsibility to observe whether the task is done competently and, if not, to do what I can to correct the situation.

Previously, especially close to the election, I could poke the Democrats and be assured of lots of Democrat-devotees rushing to the defense of their relgion....er, party, with every and all kinds of assaults and disagreements.
I looked forward to it.

But notice how few of the "wounded" have stepped up to the plate.
I believe it is a reflecton of the low polling for Democrats....24%.....and lots of them are so wounded that the pain prevents them from attacking opponents.

If anyone says the election wasn't a landslide......I see this lack of their 'warriors' on the field of battle as real proof of the beating the Democrats have taken.

The problem with the so-called Democrat Party is that as Marxists got into Academia, they also began infiltrating the Democrat Party. As such, the Democrat Party of today is no longer the party of JFK and is unrecognizable. Their goal is to completely divide this nation. As the old saying goes, "divide and conquer."
Hence identity politics, pitting blacks against whites, absurd pronouns, claiming micro-aggressions, claiming logical things like mathematics as "racist" and the dumbing down of students in schools. A poorly educated people is a more malleable people.
We need to get the Marxists out of our educational system and government. As their efforts are trying to overthrow our government, at least the crime of "sedition" should apply.
