Know if there is a black person behind you, you could get killed. Just part of living in the city. Black person on the street, possible mugger. Sit with your back to a wall, always. Be mindful, every black presents a danger. Now, you're somewhat covered, right? That's what you mean.
You should be equally concerned if there's a twitching, unbathed white guy sitting behind you.
Now, if it's a black guy in a business suit, no, I wouldn't worry that much about him.
But public transportation, you take stock of your surroundings, you see who is there, and who might present a possible threat.
Spot on. Joe is saying if you wanna make it home in one piece, you need to profile. That should not be difficult. Human instinct will single out the ethnic group that committed the most crime and avoid them. Even leftists believe this is true but pretend everyone around you have the same probability to commit a crime against you. Joe supports the police.
Well, only if you are a racist. If you are panicking about about the black guy in a business suit, but are okay with the white stinking stew-bum muttering to himself, you are probably being reckless. (Of course, we both know you don't do that, but you just want to complain about black people.)
How do you know he smelled? Can you discern that from the video as well?
Homeless for months, how do you think he smelled?
Now, I'm going to cut Ms. Zarutska a little slack. Maybe she had been riding public transit long enough to get complacent. Heck, on that aforementioned trip downtown on a train, we encountered four homeless people. The aforementioned guy arguing with his reflection, another one sleeping in the middle of the street, and two rather aggressive panhandlers.
It's kind of a sad commentary that given a choice between mental health treatment for the poor and tax breaks for the rich, we picked the tax breaks. It's unfortunate that people like Ms. Zarutska end up paying the price for that.
No, not really. She got on the train and his head was leaning against the window like he was sleeping or tired. Once she said down she was facing the other way. Why would she be turning around to check out the guy behind her? Oh I know, because he was black, right? Your deep-seated racism is showing again as is your guilt ridden conscience because of this racism.
Wow, you are full of excuses, aren't you?
The guy was acting weird, which is why everyone else on that train was giving him a wide berth.
