Democrats ruin everything. I wonder when the Giants join the mass exodus from California. Easy to see why he left SF.

Ohtani, a rare two-way talent who is both an elite hitter and pitcher, made news over the weekend when he announced he was signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He signed a record-breaking ten-year, $700 million contract with the team this week.

But news reports have indicated that the San Francisco Giants — the Dodgers’ biggest rival — were also all-in on trying to land Ohtani, and, in fact, offered him the exact same deal.

In an interview with the Athletic on Tuesday, one-time Giants All-Star catcher Buster Posey, who is now a member of the team’s executive board, suggested that San Francisco’s struggles with downtown degradation and lawlessness have played a role in preventing star players, including Ohtani, from signing with the team.

Nowhere in this alt-right opinion piece does it quote Ohtani as not wanting to come to SF because of crime and lawlessness.
He went to LA because they paid him the money and they are closer to being able to win a World Series.

His attorneys brokered a brilliant contract to help him and the Dodgers avoid major tax liability from Cali

I don't really believe that had anything to do with the decision. LA has all the same stuff SF does. I think there are two motivating factors:

1. He already lived in the LA area

2. The Dodgers seem more motivated to win the World Series than SF does. SF, in a lot of ways is just another Anaheim Angels team, aspirations only.

So despite the SF Giant team management stating clearly in the piece that it’s been a problem getting star players…you simply say it’s not the case? You are going to actually ignore what they are saying…gotcha

And you wonder why we call dembots a cult?

Ohtani said nothing of the sort. Again, the team management can say whatever they'd like.
What is it with you members of Alt-Right Nation and reading comprehension?
Are you all just morons? :auiqs.jpg:

I didn’t say he did, the Giants are saying it is!!! That’s the point…the Giants are saying it is!! Not just with this one player.

Budget Deficit Forces San Francisco to Eliminate Reparations Office

15 Dec 2023 ~~ By Joel B. Pollack

A crushing budget deficit has forced San Francisco Mayor London Breed to eliminate the budget of the Office of Reparations, which was considering lavish payouts to long-term black residents of the city, though it never practiced or allowed slavery.
The city’s budget deficit exploded to $780 million earlier this year, amid San Francisco’s struggle to recover from strict coronavirus closures and restrictions. An exodus of work-from-home residents and taxpayers, coupled with a rise in crime, outdoor drug abuse, and homelessness, also chased away retail businesses.

Commentary:
Get out now while you can. But there is a bright spot to this.
As people make the mad rush for the door, tax revenue will fall and Social Services will be bankrupt the state.
On a side note make sure you get out of CA bonds now.
San Francisco has far more pressing problems to deal with than giving $5 million to blacks for reparations.
What the premier of China did not see (he did see plenty of Chinese, not American flags).
As the Leftist political class systematically destroy the quality of life in CA the flood of refugees will turn in to torrent and people will rush to unload their homes and businesses, prices will plummet.
They be lucky to support Giants for the next season. Expect the Giants to leave San Francisco to another city not in California soon.
