Forest management is removing dead trees and fallen trees and ground clutter dead brush that is the start of most fires. Forest fires don't get far when this is done.

California, like many states, is given millions of dollars every year to do just this for all Federal forests... however California has routinely spent the money on anything and everything else but forest management. There's even money for forest fire management...airplanes and contracts to put out fires... again at least half is diverted elsewhere. Also eagle habitats and endangered birds and all kinds of critters the federal government gives them money to help promote... again all diverted to other projects.

I am curious as to who will actually win this election...

Reports are saying there is a TON of late voters while empty during the day...this is usually the hallmarks of a republican win. Republicans usually vote after work and Democrats don't have jobs.

So we'll see what happens.

Manage the forests, clear away deadwood, do controlled burns. Wildfires are part of the California ecology. There are trees and plants that won’t reproduce without being scorched by fire. I tool a California Ecology class in college and it opened my eyes.
