Not really a hypocrisy. I think what Obama tried to do was to get Republicans to go along with sensible reforms like DACA by being tough on the border, but trying to appease racists is a zero sum game.
Democrats have never been tough on the border. That's one reason they lost so badly. All they want to do is DACA while letting in millions and millions more to have yet more DACA's.

might be because obama understood and complied with immigration law while trump couldn't tell you the difference between an "illegal" and an asylum seeker and doesn't care.
Trump does in-fact know the difference.
That's why he keeps saying that they must come in LEGALLY.

Tom Homan said that criminals will have the top priority, unlike Obama.

Obama deported 5.3m illegals, see link in OP. So stop lying about the "deporter-in-chief"

"During Obama’s first term, fiscal year 2009 to fiscal year 2012, there were 3.2 million deportations (removals and returns). Fiscal year 2009 included about four months of the second George W. Bush administration. During Obama’s second term, covering fiscal years 2013 through 2016, there were 2.1 million deportations (removals and returns)."
Stop trying to confuse Mare with facts, he runs on emotion.

more likely that is why he says "they are coming from the insane asylums.

if anyone on trump's staff cares about immigration law they would never contradict the god emperor.

Many democrats and the MSM are whining about the Trump deportation policy.
'The View' co-host Sunny Hostin worries about 'internment camps' after Trump victory

Obama was the "deporter-in-chief". Why didn't they complain about Obama's mass deportation policy?
Donald Trump “deported less, believe it or not, than Barack Obama even did."

The country was better under both "deportation" policies than under Biden's "open border" policy.

So why are democrats complaining about Trump deportations, but did not complain about Obama's?
Many many people complained about the Obama deportations. I was not one of them. Those deported were most often violent felons

Trump is talking about MASS DEPORTATIONS. That’s an entirely different animal.

It would be cruel, clumsy, expensive, and would damage the economy badly

Actually a fool’s errand

NO ONE

NO ONE

Has been tough on the border. Not even Trump

Trump had fewer illegals to deal with than Obama did with his remain in Mexico policy and stopping the caravans from coming up through Mexico. So I am not surprised that there were fewer deportations under Trump than Obama. (Obama also had eight years to Trump's four years.)

But yes, apparently sending illegals home is somehow terrible if Trump does it, but is a-okay if a Democrat does it.

Why? Because the Democrats have largely forgotten how to be common sense Americans and far too many have no honor, no morals, no integrity, no ethics and a very distorted concept of what should be considered right and wrong.

You folks will find excuses for whatever Trump does

It’s sickening

That is pure fantasy.

2019 had way more encounters than any Obama year and only 50k Remain in Mexico cases:

It’s amazing what they believe that just isn’t true

1. Obama deported about 5m illegals

2. Actually Bill Clinton has the record for "mass deportations", 12,000,000. Hint: he is a democrat
"According to an analysis by the Migration Policy Institute, more than 12 million people were “deported” – either removed or returned – from the US during the Clinton administration. More than 10 million were removed or returned during the Bush administration. Far fewer – more than 5 million – were removed or returned during the Obama administration."

3. Thank you for making my point. Clinton's economy, as well as Obama's economy were always considered excellent by democrats, so stop gaslighting us by saying deportations hurt the economy. We know better. I hope Trump gets the deportation record.

Sounds like Dems deported a hell of a lot of illegals

What they didn’t do was deport them all randomly.

Removing that many workers would do economic harm.

You didn’t read your own article

be right back after i pick up that girl who was little johnnie this morning.

"you can fool some of the people all of the time...."

Starting with ( Visa Overstayers ) ( Unprocessed Getaways ) ( Incarcerated Illegals ) ( arrested Criminal Illegals) ( Criminal / Incarcerated Refugees ) ( Previously Deported Illegals ) ( hearing skippers ) … and avoid Grandmothers while doing it

With Trump Mandate he should be able to easily double the numbers deported by BHO

That's not true. Trump had MORE illegals coming, because they wanted to get here before that became more difficult. The only reason it went down in 2020 is because Trump abused Title 42 to keep people out.
