Democrats begin destroying their opposition, Scott Walker...his college days important, obama's not

So.....the media wing of the democrat party have no curiosity about what obama did in college....but the fact that Scott Walker is coming to the front of the pack of Republican enemies of the left, they are going through his short time in college with as much detail as they can find......it is only to be expected by the minions of the democrats who use journalism as a political tool of the left.....

Media Curious About Scott Walker s College Days - Breitbart

The media isnā€™t overly interested in certain Obama college records heā€™s opted to not release, but they somehow found enough curiosity to look into Republican Scott Walkerā€™s time in schoolā€”even going so far as to find teachers willing to discuss his grades.

Blogger and law professor Ann Althouse thinks that might even be illegal, let alone highly unethical.

A French teacher is quoted, saying that Walker would come to class late and make excuses without even putting them en franƧais. For some reason, this teacher says ā€œI think I gave him a D-minus.ā€ Why would any teacher disclose a former studentā€™s grade to the press ā€” even if he was sure he had it right? I thought that was not just unethical, but illegal.

In the end, if it was a hit piece they were after, they donā€™t seem to have come up with very much. Most who knew him appear to have thought well of Walker. If nothing else, it seems he wasnā€™t a hash-smoking bully, which is how they recently portrayed Jeb Bush.

On campus, Walker made a close group of friends, who gathered weekly to watch the iconic 1980s television drama ā€œThirtysomethingā€ and cook dinner on Sunday nights. They remember Walker as fun, upbeat and cautious: If you were planning a prank, you knew not to even ask him to join in.
remember four medical emergencies in which Walker volunteered to drive her to the hospitalā€¦

ā€œScott carried me eight blocks to his car and drove me to the hospital,ā€ Riordan said. ā€œHe became like my personal ambulance.ā€

But outside that group, Walker was known for something else: his political ambitions. If you met him, they were as plain as the photo of him with Ronald Reagan on his dorm-room desk.

ā€œHe would comment that, you know, ā€˜Iā€™m going to be president of the United States someday,ā€™ā€ said Patrick Tepe, a former dorm mate who is now a dentist.

Sadly for the minions of the democrats in the media....they are going to have to work over time to trash Scott Walker.......he seems like a good guy all around........

Hmmm interviews with professors and fellow students?

You mean exactly like there were interviews with Obama's professors and fellow students?

I think Walker's college records are as irrelevant as Obama's are- what about you?

yes, obama's records are so irrelevant we are not allowed to see them........

Or Walkers, or Romney's, or McCain's, or Bush's(to be clear- we saw Bush's undergrad Yale grades because they were illegally leaked, but we have never seen Bush's Harvard records).

I never expected to see any of theirs- don't expect to see Scott Walkers either.

I do believe he did better than gore and kerry in college......

There will always be people who want to spread dirt on a candidate.

So for everyone in this thread this question:

Are a Presidential candidate's college records relevant to his or her qualifications to be President?

Do you expect a candidate to show you his college records- and why?
Not really. College doesnt tell you much other than your ability to stick to a commitment.

Of course there's always a chance they dropped out of school to begin a new commitment.

Bush had better grades than kerry....

If Bush is Dumb 8230

Kerryā€™s military records also include his college grades. (The New Yorker printed Bushā€™s grades in 1999, but Kerry consistently refused to release his.) It turns out that ā€œdummyā€ and fellow Yalie George W. Bush made better grades than did brainy, intellectual John Kerry. Under Yaleā€™s grading system at the time Bush and Kerry attended, grades from 90 to 100 meant an A, 80 to 89 a B, 70 to 79 a C, and 60 to 69 a D. Kerry received five Ds, including four in his freshman year, with a D in political science! Bush, during his time at Yale, got one D, in astronomy. Overall, Kerry finished Yale with a cumulative score of 76. Bush finished with a score of 77. So whoā€™s the dummy?

Retired history professor Gaddis Smith taught both students, but only recalls Kerry. Smith remembered Kerry as a ā€œgood student.ā€ When informed, however, that Kerry received a 71 and 79 in Smithā€™s history courses, the professor said, ā€œUh, oh. I thought he was [a] good student. Those arenā€™t very good grades.ā€ Oh, what did the forgettable Bush get in history? 88.

Just a suggestion, but if you want to assert the LW media are after Walker's records, you might want to cite something other than breibart.
Is having a college degree a presidential prerequisite - The Washington Post

Walker couldn't even get through college. He simply cannot compete with a man the caliber of the president and has no business even being considered as a presidential candidate.

Why is it the right always chooses inadequate, under qualified, unintelligent fools who usually end up on the fox entertainment network?

If you are going to talk about Walker's college records it's only fair that we compare the two..Obama's and Walker's. But we both know that is not possible. The first order of business on the day Obama took office was to write an Executive Order to assure that no on would ever see his college or school applications and records. Now why was that?

Lets break this down

Why? Because that is just a lie. Someone lied to you. The question you should ask is- why would someone tell you that lie?
What Was President Obama s First Executive Order

Obama's first executive order merely rescinded an earlier executive order severely limitingpublic access to presidential records after they left office.

That now-rescinded executive order, 13233, was signed by then-President George W. Bush on Nov. 1, 2001. It allowed former presidents and even family members to declare executive privilege and block public access to White House records for virtually any reason.

Bush's measure was criticized heavily and challenged in court. The Society of American Archivists called Bush's executive order a "complete abnegation of the original 1978 Presidential Records Act." The Presidential Records Act mandates the preservation of presidential records and makes them available to the public.

Yes its not possible- since neither Walker or Obama have ever shown their college records.

And it wasn't possible in the last election- since neither Romney or Obama released their college records.

Didn't bother me then- did it bother you?

Throwing stones and glass houses and all that....

Walker's faults and failures are on him alone.

Conservatives need to learn to take personal responsibility for a change.
Pretty stupid coming from a lib. His successes outweigh any failures by a long shot. Every great man has had many, what you do from there is what defines you. And quitting college isn't a failure. College isn't for everyone, nor does it ensure success or a meaningful contribution to society.

Failure to graduate college was good enough for 9 presidents including Abraham Lincoln and Harry Truman. It's not important.

It isn't important- if someone can't judge Walker based upon his record as governor and businessman, then what the hell do they think they will know from his college records?

The exact same thing applies to Obama and every other President.

The Executive Order I was referring to was ONE of the first. It is 13489 signed on Jan. 21, 2009.

It was a method of hiding Presidential Records:

Executive Order 13489 of January 21, 2009

Presidential Records

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to establish policies and procedures governing the assertion of executive privilege by incumbent and former Presidents in connection with the release of Presidential records by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) pursuant to the Presidential Records Act of 1978, it is hereby ordered as follows:

Section 1.ā€‡Definitions.ā€‡

For purposes of this order:

(a)
ā€œArchivistā€ refers to the Archivist of the United States or his designee.
(b)
ā€œNARAā€ refers to the National Archives and Records Administration.
(c)
ā€œPresidential Records Actā€ refers to the Presidential Records Act, 44 U.S.C. 2201-2207.

(h)
A ā€œfinal court orderā€ is a court order from which no appeal may be taken.

It revoked EO 13233.

What Was President Obama s First Executive Order

Barack Obama signed Executive Order 13489 on Jan. 21, 2009, one day after being sworn in as the 44th president of the United States.

So, what does it say?

To hear the conspiracy theorists describe it, Obama's first executive order officially closed off Obama's personal records to the public. You know, his birth certificate and all that.

"Obama's First Executive Order was to SEAL his records," one popular Internet claim goes. "Now for all of you who commented on our previous articles that we were no more that right-wing nut jobs, that this thing about Obama's birth certificate was a non-issue, and those of you who tried to shift the focus of the stories, doesn't this strike you as just a little odd?
"That the first order of business Obama took care of on day one of his Presidency was to sign off on an Executive Order that states that only the records he chooses to be made public will be released? This is the subject that was at the absolute top of his agenda? If this isn't proof that Obama is hiding something, I don't know what is."

And Now, the Facts

In fact, Obama's first executive order had exactly the opposite goal. Its aim was to shed more light on presidential records - yes, including Obama's - after eight years of secrecy imposed by former President George W. Bush.

Walker couldn't even get through college. He simply cannot compete with a man the caliber of the president and has no business even being considered as a presidential candidate.

If you are going to talk about Walker's college records it's only fair that we compare the two..Obama's and Walker's. But we both know that is not possible. The first order of business on the day Obama took office was to write an Executive Order to assure that no on would ever see his college or school applications and records. Now why was that?

Lets break this down
  • The first order of business on the day Obama took office was to write an Executive Order to assure that no on would ever see his college or school applications and records. Now why was that?

  • it's only fair that we compare the two..Obama's and Walker's
Yes its not possible- since neither Walker or Obama have ever shown their college records.

And it wasn't possible in the last election- since neither Romney or Obama released their college records.

Didn't bother me then- did it bother you?

(d)
ā€œNARA regulationsā€ refers to the NARA regulations implementing the Presidential Records Act, 36 C.F.R. Part 1270.
(e)
ā€œPresidential recordsā€ refers to those documentary materials maintained by NARA pursuant to the Presidential Records Act, including Vice Presidential records.
(f)
ā€œFormer Presidentā€ refers to the former President during whose term or terms of office particular Presidential records were created.
(g)
A ā€œsubstantial question of executive privilegeā€ exists if NARA's disclosure of Presidential records might impair national security (including the conduct of foreign relations), law enforcement, or the deliberative processes of the executive branch.
(h)
A ā€œfinal court orderā€ is a court order from which no appeal may be taken.

It revoked EO 13233.

Hmmm- yes- exactly as I said- and exactly as the article I cited said- and none of that has anything to do with President Obama's college records- nothing at all- you were lied to.

Aren't you curious why you were lied to?

Bush.
Did you read the section in red?

I have read the entire Executive Order. Nowhere in the EO does it apply to any personal records prior to the President's term- doesn't apply to Obama's college records at all.

Did you read the article I cited?
