I've been saying this for 30 years about desalination. The US has probably built some overseas we haven't heard about in Dubai or Oman...our government is very adept at keeping the American public in the dark with their controlled media.

In Israel, open-sea desalination now supplies over 40% of Israel's water needs. It has turned the Negev desert green, with fruits, vegetables, and nut orchards supplying not only Israel but neighboring Arab countries as well. Water recycling techniques are improving recapture, but “new” freshwater from desalination has far greater volume potential than recycling used water. Likewise, fog capture and other methods are a drop in the proverbial bucket.

That's Climate change..Same thing happened in Syria in 2005.

There is always a heatwave or a drought in the West.
Democrats/Communists simply got in the way of anyone preparing for the inevitable.
Crops can't grow in CA without irrigation in the Imperial Valley. Environmental terrorists made sure they couldn't build the infrastructure needed to supply enough potable water to major cities in Southern California.
It also doesn't help that a bunch of homeless ANTIFA went around burning all of the vegetation the last couple of years in what appeared to be innocent non-manmade fires....but probably was done to worsen the drought conditions.

It's like the deforestation in Brazil. Stuff like that can cause drastic changes in climate. This is why most of Africa is a desert. They've deforested most of Africa.
