Rep. Al Green, a Texas Democrat, was ejected from President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress Tuesday.

Green stood in the aisle early in Trump’s speech and shouted that Trump had “no mandate.” Speaker Mike Johnson ordered him removed from the chamber.

Green told reporters after leaving that chamber that “It’s worth it to let people know that there are some people who are going to stand up” to Trump.

“I’m willing to suffer whatever punishment is available to me,” he added. “Whatever the punishment is, I’m not fighting the punishment.”

I find it poetic justice that the man that introduced articles of impeachment against Trump 3 times [in 2017 , 2019 , and 2025 ] in a failed attempt to kick Trump out of the WH was kicked out of the House of Representatives ! it was a beautiful sight !
I wonder if the Houston area will finally retire out Rep Green? Rep Green has held office in that district for a looong time which tells me that the ninth district is HEAVILY rooted in the statist left ideology. The statist lefties in that area will probably pull a D.I.O. & keep voting for Rep. Green until he pulls a senator Diane Fiendstein & 'Dies In Office' from old age.
