Democratic Party On Verge of 'Civil War'

Hey dumbshit.
You know why Mitch McConnell is sitting on the spending bill passed by the House?
Because he knows the REPUBLICAN Senate would pass it.
How's that for a civil war? One fuckwit blocking the opening of the government on behalf of the fuckwit in the White House.

Speculation at best. Maybe it would pass but that is not certain. No one has called for a floor vote.
Most Americans want the wall. The media and the Left try to make it appear otherwise.

THE SHUTDOWN

Nancy Pelosi assumed the position of Speaker of the House and immediately affected a government shutdown by refusing to negotiate or compromise with the other 2 government entities that have a part in getting bills passed into law. Pelosi is refusing to do so in an attempt to hurt the President's re-election chances in 2020, having no problem hurting Americans as long as she can score her 'political hit'.

Her own Democrats have begun to openly talk about how they oppose what she is doing and want to seek compromise - SOME OF THE DEMOCRATS HAVE ALREADY BROKEN RANKS AND HAVE BEGUN WORKING / NEGOTIATING WITH REPUBLICANS :

(D-MI) Rep. Elissa Slotkin:
"There’s a number of us on the Democratic side who are quite concerned that we’re not working on negotiated positions and taking the bull by the horns and trying to think about what it would look like”

(D-GA)
I hope that we can all come to a compromise because that’s the way things get done

(D-NJ) Rep. Jeff Van Drew:
“If I had the opportunity to vote for some sort of a deal, I would

(D-NY) Rep. Anthony Brindisi (D-NY):
I’ve been meeting with several representatives from across the country, both Democrats and Republicans

IMPEACHMENT

Socialist Democrat Extremists introduced a Bill calling for the Impeachment of the President, despite having no evidence of having committed any crime, and openly declared thy did not need to wait for evidence / Mueller's final report to do so.

The newly-elected radicals have shown their hand - they want to Impeach Trump, crimes or not. The Older Democrats are trying to hold them down and prevent such action from being taken.

On all fronts Pelosi and Schumer are trying to hold the party together, stamp out fires that keep popping up and rein the radical - and moderate - newbies in.

'The 2018 midterms were a disaster for House Republicans. Democrats gained 40 seats, retook the majority, and, to our horror, Nancy Pelosi is speaker again. They were elected to stop Trump, to block him at every turn, and lead the effort for his impeachment and removal from office. Any Democrat who says otherwise is lying. The base demands Trump go at all costs. The younger, feistier Democrats say that openly. The older crew tries to downplay it, but ultimately that’s their goal. They’re banking heavily that the report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is leading the DOJ’s Russia probe, finds something impeachable. Don’t hold your breath on that; the Russia collusion allegation has been what’s kept Democrats hopeful since 2016. Yet, while doing battle with the Trump White House is a top priority, the progressive Left also wants to clean house in the Democratic Party as well. The party elite is reportedly trying to rein in Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), as they view her antics to be distracting, but they’re also not pleased that she’s willing to help boot fellow Democrats who are viewed as too moderate. Shots have been fired inside the ship.'

(D-MD) Majority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer is trying to present a solid picture of a United Democratic Party - “We are totally united — totally” - but that could not be farther from the truth right now....

Oddly enough, in a very similar situation, Harry Reid and the Senate passed a Continuing Resolution in December of Obama's second year, and Obama vetoed it. The override vote failed in the House.

It's the same bill the Republicans passed in the Senate in December.

And it isn't "no one" who has called for a floor vote. It's MCCONNELL who will not let it come to a floor vote. Precisely because he knows his REPUBLICAN Senate will pass it.

So there's your real intraparty civil war. One fuckwit blocking his entire party from voting on a bill, on behalf of another fuckwit.

McConnell won't even give Trump a chance to veto legislation. Imagine how powerful it would make Orange Judas feel to veto a piece of legislation. Hubba-hubba!

And so McConnell needs to let his Republican Senate vote on the spending bill, and then let Trump veto it.

He won't do that, though, because he's a coward protecting an even bigger coward.

McConnell won't even give Trump a chance to veto legislation. Imagine how powerful it would make Orange Judas feel to veto a piece of legislation. Hubba-hubba!
McConnell is holding up the bill because a Trump veto would show even the dumbest tards that Trump alone is responsible for the shutdown.

The Republicans cheated and lied their way into defrauding a national election by conspiring with Russia. Impeachment will only be the first step.

McConnell told Trump - before the shutdown - that he didn't have any leverage. Trump ignored him, and now McConnell is leaving Trump out to sink or swim. When he's ready, he'll throw Trump a life preserver.

Some Republicans have looked for a compromise and they have been rebuffed by Trump. Trump could have had a compromise a year ago. The Republicans have had a civil war as well as a large number of Republicans retired.

They are not negotiating on money for the wall. They are trying to such things as a compromise on DACA for money for a wall. A deal Trump could have had a year ago.

Not really.
We've been here before. During Reagan's term a wall was also "approved". But after the Amnesty was pushed through, FUNDING for the wall was never approved.

So those who think all Trump had to do was agree to the dems DACA deal and the wall was a done deal may be grossly mistaken.

President Reagan called for tearing walls down not building them. He never supported a wall. This is what he said,
"Rather than making them … we’re talking about putting up a fence. Why don’t we work out some recognition of our mutual problems, make it possible for them to come here legally with a work permit, and then while they’re working and earning here, they pay taxes here? And when they want to go back, they can go back and they can cross. And open the border both ways by understanding their problems. This is the only safety valve they have with that unemployment that probably keeps the lid from blowing off down there. And I think we could have a fine relationship and it would solve the problem you mentioned also."

Agreed. However, the candidate that won got caught.

He believes there is unity in the republican party?
The conservatives in the Republican party are quite unified. Against our enemies in the press, against our enemies the Democrats, and against our enemies paid by the Democrats who are pretending to be Republicans.

Yeah, we were infiltrated. No, it's not the end of the Republican party. It's the end of the Democrat party. Democrats have to pretend to be Republican to get elected. Meanwhile, we have our president and our administration, and we are reveling in the shut down because it accomplishes quite easily what our ultimate goal is...the reduction of the federal footprint.

You stupid fucks will get sold any thing. The wall is insane the only people that should be happy about the wall are wall builders and the bar association. Oh yes I should be happy about the wall also the money to be made on right away appraisal and expert witness testimony will be so enormous yachts will be bought. Even if you funded it today it would be fifty years before the right of way court battles would be over. So if you want to fill the courts and make attorneys, appraisers , realtors and fence builders wildly wealthy while you get nothing in your life time have at it! Any one wanna go through your local DOT web site and look up rules and regulations regarding right of way purchase, relocation , condemnation, and eminent domain? Then look up court battles regarding those subject’s at the courts website. Talk about opening pandoras box. We will never stop paying for it all.

Trump says it is his shutdown. It is Senate Republicans who are refusing to vote. That is why we have the Trump/McConnell shutdown.

You completely ignored the D-Ga Rep who openly opposes Pelosi's refusal to negotiate / compromise, who said 'NEGOTIATING AND COMPROMISE IS HOW THINGS WORK'. Pelosi wants only 1 thing - to hurt Trump's 2020 chances, and she is proving she has no problem hurting Americans to do so.

Passing 'edicts' and demanding the Senate and President meet her demands is not how govt works - its how hostage negotiations start out.

Again Trump cannot build a wall by declaring a national emergency. Obama's declarations of a national emergency did not violate the Constitution.

Sorry, snowflake, but your partisan bias and ignorance is showing. The President has a right to declare a national emergency, especially over issues that affect our national security. President Trump can and should declare one to free up already allocated money that he can Constitutionally use in an effort to protect our national security.

Your claim that Barak Obama's declaration of what was going on in BURUNDI was a national emergency for America but what is going on at our own southern border - with Americans being victimized / murdered - is somehow NOT is off the proverbial chart for a mental instability diagnosis.

Democrats offered the compromise on DACA and Trump turned it down.

Really?

Nancy Pelosi rejects ‘Dreamers’ for wall money deal

"House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday flatly rejected the idea of approving funding for President Trump’s border wall in exchange for protections for illegal immigrant “Dreamers.”

Pelosi went on to demonstrate she has no clue what the hell she is doing by claiming the reason she rejected the deal is because “They’re two different subjects”. Well, NO SHIT...and as long as this government has been around politicians have been negotiating, compromising, and cutting deals - 'I want something, you want something - let's agree to do both.' Her answer was a weak piece of BULLSHIT! Is she going to try to convince us that bills that only have 1 goal are passed and have nothing in them that have nothing to do with the main goal of the bill? Democrats packed Obama's stimulus bill with 7,000 pieces of self-serving pork that had nothing to do with the Stimulus bill and passed it.

Both you and Pelosi are full of shit.

What's wrong with Americans making money building infrastructure?

You commies need to go dig a hole and commit hari kari.

I your emotional tantrum you totally ignored:

1) The FACT that it has been proven that everywhere a border / barrier is used illegal crossing attempts and illegal crossings have been reduced by 90%

2) Democrats voted for the existing 'immoral' fencing / barriers / walls that are up NOW. They know they work and agreed we needed more so much that they voted vor it in 2006 and again in 2013.

3) Obama's hand-picked Director of Border Patrol just came out on his own to declare 1) The President is Right, 2) Walls ABSOLUTELY WORK, & 3) There is NO reason NOT to use them as part of our effort to protect our national security

SO WHY DO EMOTIONALLY-STUNTED-YET-MANIPULATED TRUMP-HATING SNOWFLAKES CONTINUE TO LIE ABOUT IT LIKE YOU JUST DID EVERY CHANCE YOU GET?

It's the same bill the Republicans passed in the Senate in December.

And it isn't "no one" who has called for a floor vote. It's MCCONNELL who will not let it come to a floor vote. Precisely because he knows his REPUBLICAN Senate will pass it.

So there's your real intraparty civil war. One fuckwit blocking his entire party from voting on a bill, on behalf of another fuckwit.

The presiding officer of the Senate may not use the power to recognize senators to control the flow of business. If no senator holds the floor, any senator seeking recognition has a right to be recognized, and then, usually, to speak for as long as he or she wishes (but only twice a day on the same question). Once recognized, a senator can move to call up any measure or offer any amendment or motion that is in order. Senate rules do not permit a majority to end debate and vote on a pending question.

Go find something to come back with when you're ready
