Democrat Party "A Complete And Utter Mess"

Yet the republicans are the gang of ****-ups who can't shoot straight.

Talk of being fooled, they blabber in like libertarians in their campaigns, then govern like the shitlibs they're supposedly opposed to.

You watch, that sleazeball Thune will play the pro forma game -that is supposed to be in play when the prez is of the opposite party- in order to keep Trump from making recess appointments.
There are more than a few Republicans who would like to see them forego their August recess and push through the 150 or so appointments the Democrats have been stonewalling for weeks and/or months now. Any recess appointments Trump can make cannot be permanent appointments. At the rate they are going it will be April to get them all debated and voted on and by then there could be 150 more appointments to deal with including any recess appointments whose time have run out.

Thune was one who wanted to cancel the recess but had pressure from too many Republicans who want to go home. He did delay the recess through the weekend though hoping they could get a few more nomination confirmed. I can't imagine he will do anything to sabotage President Trump.

So what?

Make the recess appointment and hold Lurch Thune's feet to the fire to get them in permanently.

Why do we need two parties, otherwise when it should be a body made up of individual leader's that represent their state and constituents on capital hill when come together for that reason ? The president would just reside over the disputes and request by the state's, otherwise that which he applies constitutional law over their issue's when needed.
Because human beings do what is best for themselves.
Two parties each keeping an eye on the other, is best.

The quote "If men were angels, no government would be necessary" is from Federalist No. 51, written by James Madison. It expresses the idea that a government is needed because human beings are not inherently good and require control. The quote highlights the fundamental challenge of governance: balancing the need to control the governed with the need to control those in power.

Great moments in circular reasoning by an otherwise great man....

Agreed Chic! Problem is---------->only the DEMOQUACKS can alter their party's structure, we can not. To force them to do so, we have to put as many of them out of a J-O-B as possible, then let everyone know, we did it because they are SOCIALISTS and need remove AOC, Tahlib, and the rest of the crew.

If we BURY them in 26, the SQUAD is DONE! The SOCIALIST power in the QUACKS will recede tremendously, and they will return to a party FOR the American people.......instead of being "For anything against Trump and the GOP!"

As a very, very, VERY wise person once said----------> The GOP will NEVER solve all your problems, but the QUACKS are the cause of most of them! That is a TRUE statement, period, end of story!
I fully agree.

But they needed the pain of the Trump election, and the continued results of their policies, to put them back on the right path.

Now you are playing like the Yankees lately.

You posted this nonsense:

"Your dithering, disingenuous, ass-dragging, double-dealing, big spending, warmongering party is a complete mess, beginning with it's "leadership" all the way down to the state party level."

There's an old saying: "you can't have everything......where would you put it."

The Trump presidency has been a marvel, so much better that we've seen in a long time, that you are simply a conplainer.

Miniver Cheevy

By Edwin Arlington Robinson
Miniver Cheevy, child of scorn,
Grew lean while he assailed the seasons;
He wept that he was ever born,
And he had reasons.

Miniver loved the days of old
When swords were bright and steeds were prancing;
The vision of a warrior bold
Would set him dancing.

Miniver sighed for what was not,
And dreamed, and rested from his labors;
He dreamed of Thebes and Camelot,
And Priam’s neighbors.

Miniver mourned the ripe renown
That made so many a name so fragrant;
He mourned Romance, now on the town,
And Art, a vagrant.

Miniver loved the Medici,
Albeit he had never seen one;
He would have sinned incessantly
Could he have been one.

Miniver cursed the commonplace
And eyed a khaki suit with loathing;
He missed the mediæval grace
Of iron clothing.

Miniver scorned the gold he sought,
But sore annoyed was he without it;
Miniver thought, and thought, and thought,
And thought about it.

Miniver Cheevy, born too late,
Scratched his head and kept on thinking;
Miniver coughed, and called it fate,
And kept on drinking.

Moronic. The right will ruin the economy for the 6th STRAIGHT time. It’s already happening. See the jobs report and inflation reports?

No one votes on culture wars. The democrats were in office during worldwide inflation spikes and suffered by winning a house seat in 2024 and losing the presidency by rounding. Since then Trump has done everything he could to get the GOP sacked. All the dems need to do is nothing. The house is burning down all on its own.

3. I see that you belong to neither of those categories. But you are not alone: Around 22% of Americans identify as strong Democrats, meaning they are highly likely to consistently vote for Democratic candidates, no matter how many lies and hoaxes are revealed.

You will vote for whatever the party tells you to, hence simply a mindless drone.

Playing that sleazy sellout "half-a-loaf" bit got us into the mess we're in now.

"Add in some Ivy League campuses full of shouting antisemitic Hamas supporters, Antifa, and hordes of pro-illegal immigration rioters, and you have today's Democratic Party. And yet they are trying to whistle past the graveyard of the upcoming midterms.

Democrats are expressing confidence about their prospects in the 2026 midterm election cycle, despite the party’s approval ratings plummeting to near-historic lows in 2025.

With the midterms fast approaching, Democrats are facing a slew of recent polls showing that a record number of Americans view the party unfavorably. Despite this, some Democrats repeatedly continue to show optimism about their odds of winning back the House of Representatives in the upcoming 2026 elections.

“House Republicans are delivering on our agenda to cut taxes, reduce the cost of living, reduce federal spending, secure our border, and restore peace through strength,” House Speaker Mike Johnson told the Daily Caller News Foundation in an exclusive statement. “Democrats have opposed every measure, and it is no surprise poll after poll reflect their disarray and unpopular ideology. As we continue keeping our promises to enact the America First agenda, we will defy history and grow our majority in 2026.”

There are only two choices ......Democrats or Republicans.

Stop pretending.

I don't see a mess.

My number one reason for my choice is freedom, specifically free speech.

What is yours?

What about republicans ruining the economy constantly and playing rubes like you against your best interests by inflaming your faux culture war?

All the statistics plummet under Republicans. Always.

President Trump needs these appointments to be made permanently and not waste time on recess appointments that will take just as much time a few months down the line when the Senate has to confirm them. There will be more appointments to deal with then. Thune is doing the best he can under the Senate rules that exist. If he uses a nuclear option to get the nominees through and the Democrats do retake the Senate, they will have excuse to be ruthless.

I think he is really doing as well as anybody could do. He is head and shoulders more effective than McConnell ever was and McConnell's TDS makes him more liability than asset to the Senate.

However, I remain forever grateful and indebted to Mitch for pretty much single handedly keeping Merrick Garland off the Supreme Court. If he has a legacy, it is that.

Don't you find it odd how the world's supposedly greatest deal maker can't make one with Massie?
So far he hasn't been able to make one with Putin either. When you're dealing with fanatics, even the world's greatest dealmaker has his limitations.

The ones wasting time are the GOP "leadership"....They're as invested in sandbagging and road blocking Trump as any of the demoncrats.

Recess appointments raise the stakes and force their hand.
