I'm not surprised the Dems / Marxists are making excuses for Bowman but why would you think anyone else would?
The Dem / Socialist controlled mouthpieces at MSM, and carried by Reuters, identified the Capitol to be where Bowman pulled the alarm.

Anchor Jake Tapper said, āThere was an interesting moment over the weekend when your New York colleague, Congressman Jamaal Bowman, heās under investigation for this now after Capitol Police say he pulled a fire alarm in one of the House office buildings. Democrats were trying to delay a final vote on the bill. There he is, pulling the fire alarm. He says it was an accident. He thought pulling the alarm would open a door based on the fact that the doors to his right there was locked, and there was a sign that I think someone said it was confusing. Iāll be honest. Commentary:
The mind of AOC is akin to the illusive Unicorn. Everyone has heard of them but no one has ever seen one.
Since Jan 6th 2021 access to the halls of Congress and the Cannon building in particular thanks to Nancy Pelosi and Mayor Bowser.
Bowman was well aware that he was pulling the `Fire Alarm'.
Yes! Jamaal Bowman was in a panic and he believed pulling that alarm was stall or stop the vote on the CR....
He was in fact trying to disrupt a Congressional activity, just like kids in my day would pull fire alarms to disrupt school. A few were brazen enough to call in fake bomb threats. All were at least suspended from school and a couple got expelled for the bomb threat. Jamal Bowman deserves no less. I think what he did amounts to a felony.
At this point, Jamaal Bowman has beat out Hank Johnson for the title of dumbest Congress critter and then along comes AOC to show it is still a contest.
You have to wonder just how many false fires alarms Bowman and AOC have activated in their short lifetimes.
