There is only one reason Trump wants the debt ceiling suspended, for the same reason he had it suspended twice in his first term. And that is to allow for unlimited spending.

They don't fucking care how much Trump borrows... They didn't give a fuck 8 years ago when he increases the deficit and they don't care now...

Can we not look at the Debt for a second... the actual number i misleading... The number should be % of against GDP... There is a difference between a millionaire owing you a grand and pauper...

A single President can't pay back the National Debt... It is rare to change the deficit from a deficit into a surplus... All you can say he took the deficit at X and he gave it back Higher or Lower...

So lets look..

There is a caveat on this graph. The first year of each President should be attributed to the previous president...
So Bush one was turning it around when he gave to Clinton.
Bill gave back a great innings but it was turning.
Bush Two gave a hospital pass...

What can we see from this is that GOP President are fiscally less responsible than Democratic ones. There are many factors but GOP seem to continually increase Federal Spending while always saying they want to cut Government.

Why? Obsession with cutting taxes even if they hurt the country. I will point out in other countries the first question is asked, will you accept worse Education, Healthcare, Policing, Social Services, Roads, reduced Military.... for a cut in Taxes?
