Dem Rep. Jim Himes tells "MAGA" they better think twice about supporting strikes on drug traffickers because they "need to imagine who gets killed ...

I'm pointing out the answer to these questions don't happen until the SC hears a case involving these questions. Again, they haven't been asked in the past because the answers were assumed, until the left went all lawfare and the SC had to rule on the issues.
Everyone assumed the president could be prosecuted for committing crimes in office.

This ******* disaster of a court said that the president has immunity for anything relating to his constitutional duties. They said nothing about being able to prosecute the president after they're impeached.

You just made that up.

Yes, I think the president should be subject to prosecution if they do illegal shit. That's kind of the thing that keeps them from being like a king.

Crimes, i.e. not valid legal presidential acts, and to be prosecuted means to be impeached and removed. That's the mechanism given in the Constitution.

If he's impeached AND removed, it implies what he did wasn't part of his Presidential duties.

For it to be "illegal shit" he has to be impeached and removed. That's how the Constitution handles the issue.

It implies no such thing.

Being commander in chief of the military is a core constitutional duty. Congress can impeach the president because they blew up a boat without any legal authority but SCOTUS says he can’t be prosecuted for it.

It sure as hell does.

Congress impeaching AND removing provides the opening for the prosecution.

What law is Trump supposedly breaking with blowing up these narco-terrorist boats?

They [Democrats] haven't reached peak insanity yet.

We have a Congressman equating vile drug runners with...? People who disagree with them politically.

Who knows, who the the Navy is killing on Trump authorization, or why. No names of supposed drug traffickers, no drugs recovered, no witnesses except Navy personnel, signing non-disclosures. No oversight or even congressional consulting. Nothing. You just have to take Trump's word for it, even though, he has publicly and privately lied before. There is no evidence to support anything, the Trump administration says on blowing the boats out of the water, killing everybody, without even a stop and search.

You’re just making shit up. Nowhere does SCOTUS say any of this shit in their decision.

It’s murder.

Obama had congressional authorization and acted in accordance with self defense in an actual war.

Hegseth is going to need a pardon.
You can’t get congressional authorization to ignore the US Constitution and deny people under its jurisdiction its protections

The President doesn’t need authorization to protect the United States borders from terrorist attempting to assault our borders. He has the inherent authority under the US Constitution as commander and chief

But sure, what criminal code do you think the Sec Def needs a pardon for?

Anyone with an above room temperature IQ can read the opinion and get the gist of what SCOTUS was saying. You ignore it due to being either stupid, and/or willfully ignorant so you can get the talking point you want.

No, it isn't murder.

People get impeached and removed from office for high crimes and misdemeanors

Which is prosecutable.

If the president does it within his official duties it’s not a high crime or misdemeanor
