Dem Rep. Jim Himes tells "MAGA" they better think twice about supporting strikes on drug traffickers because they "need to imagine who gets killed ...

A dead drug dealer is a good thing and should be celebrated.

.

So, you know of some liquor that kills you the first time you use it?

Interesting.

.
Liquor has been known to cause people to cross the center line and wipe out families. First time or 100th time makes no difference.

The powers of the Commander in Chief are not dependent on a declaration of war by Congress.
Try again?
Sure they are. The Congress funds the military. Can't command an army that doesn't exist. And CiC cant ordeer the military to invade a country (act of war) without the consent of Congress. It's very clear and in black and white. I think you have a false sense of what it means to be in command of something.

A illegal order can be refused under the UCMJ.

All members of the military have the right, and in some cases have the duty, to refuse illegal orders. Your oath is to the Constitution (which incorporates international treaties ratified by the U.S. on human rights and the law of war), not to the Commander-In-Chief or to any other individual in the chain of command.

And if you’re wrong, you can be court marshaled.

So why take the risk?

Sure they are.
Not according to the Constitution
The Congress funds the military.
Which has noting to do with the power of Commander in Chief to order the military into action absent a DoW.
And CiC cant ordeer the military to invade a country (act of war) without the consent of Congress.
The CinC can, and has, committed any number acts of war w/o a DoW by Conngress.
It's very clear and in black and white.
Not according to the Constitution.
I think you have a false sense of what it means to be in command of something.
You have no rational or factual basis for your claim.

You need to read up on the "War Powers Act"

15th post
Because if you commit a war crime you can be prosecuted. Everyone gets classes on the laws of war and what is and isn't a lawful order. That shit starts in boot camp and continues throughout your career.
Prosecuted by who exactly?
