Laura Kelly is the Dem governor of Kansas & is apparently looking forward to the recession we are already in.
When speaking about how good Kansas is doing, she say's people are talking about a recession & to "bring it on".
Do these elitists not know how economic downturns hurt the people, mostly the vulnerable & poor the Dems have claimed to be fighting for? Wake up people, they don't GAS about you.

Last QTR1, we had GDP shrink by 1.6%. This Q2 is expected to shrink by 2.1%. That's almost 33% worse than last qtr & things are not getting better.
Even the artificially jacked up numbers cause by inflation are not hiding the fact our GDP is beginning a freefall.

When a larger share of your money has to pay for necessities like food, gas, bills & rent, you have much less discretionary income to spend at restaurants, clothing stores, vacations, etc...
No disposable income means a quickly shrinking economy as the businesses you may have previously frequented no longer have customers.
No customers/sales mean the business must close & those workers no longer have a job.
Multiply that by millions as the pace of the collapse picks up speed.

This isn't incompetence, this is a purposeful demolition of our economy so they can blame "free markets & capitalism" for their orchestrated implosion.
They have to do this before they can install the reset where we own nothing, eat bugs & rely on a UBI tied to a social credit system for our sustenance.

The Atlanta Federal Reserve announced on Friday that the second quarter of 2022 saw a GDP of minus 2.1 percent.

The GDP shrank by 1.6 percent in the first quarter of 2022.

As TGP reported previously, the US GDP is on a downturn and has been down with the last all-time high being in October of 2021. That is now more than six months ago.

Recessions are typically marked by an economy shrinking in back-to-back quarters, measured by gross domestic product.

That is skillful editing, so that you can't see she is proably talking about bring on the talk, as she just stated, here state is in good shape. You gotta appreciate the "Git away Pundit", hurry up and cut, before normal people know what she's saying.

The Democrat Elite = Brazen sociopaths

Kansas is making lots of bank off wind & oil to repay Republican debts. Now they are begging for water. They want massive aqueducts to bring Missouri & Mississippi river water through Kansas.

She's right. Red states came out of the pandemic faster and their economies are growing faster than the blue states. The next couple years aren't going to be be a good time to live in Democrat-ran states and cities.

The Democrats never take responsibility for their disasters.
They always shift the blame.
Proggjection might work on the low info for awhile but isn't going to cut it when the country is collapsing & people can't afford food.
It's not just the Dems. The RINOs make up the controlled opposition of the scripted UNiparty Kabuki Theatre & they are complicit in this.
Finding good guys in DC is like looking for a stripper girlfriend that isn't just after your money.

I tend to agree

She said more and I need to hear all of it before commenting

"We have managed the budget so well that we now have done all of these things: We have paid down billions of dollars in debt, and we have still left in our ending balance a $1.5 billion surplus. And that doesn't count the now up to $950 billion rainy day fund," Kelly said of her administration's budget.

"We just finished out the revenue year, and by statute, we've got to put 50% of whatever we outdid estimates by. And so we took another – I don't know if you know that – $219 million more on top of the $750 [million] that was already there. So we are in really good shape," said Kelly, who is running for re-election in November.

"And you hear people talking about, you know, a recession coming. Bring it on. Because we now have enough money to be able to ride it out still funding everything that we're supposed to be funding," she said.

Kelly's acknowledgement that a recession could be on the horizon ran in stark contrast to President Biden and a number of liberal media outlets, who've dismissed the idea that the economy could be taking a turn for the worse.. . . "

Well, she was talking about their budget surplus, but being so cheerful about a recession is not a good look.

It's awesome how Democrat Gov Laura Kelly reversed those massive debts ran up by the prior 2 Republican governors. Kelly & those who voted for her should be very proud.

You are really this dumb, aren't you?

You really don't have a clue how inflation works, are why governments do it, right?

:auiqs.jpg:

How much emergency relief funds did she receive from the FEDS for the pandemic. . . you think maybe that played a part?

LOL Republicans NEVER run a surplus. It's always Democrats cleaning up their mess. That is why Republicans spend billions blasting the airwaves blaming their debts on democrats.

Yeah democrats, with the maturity of 13 year olds are known for their nuance. Bill Mahr wanted a recession during Trump and all you lefties cheered, we know the situation.

Wow. You are really determined to make it a partisan pissing contest, aren't you?

You would probably give Clinton credit for the last time the federal budget was balanced, but? In truth, it is congress that is responsible for appropriations.

It could have never been done with out Gingrich.

Whether we go into debt, or balance the budget, is a function of how well the ruling class cooperate, and the overall agenda.

Paying down past debt, for government elites, is largely a function of how well they can do two things, grow the economy, and deflate the currency.

I don't even know why I am having this conversation with you, it is clear you either have no idea how any of this works, and are just regurgitating cheap talking points, which have the depth of a mud puddle.

None of it reflects reality.

Reality is FAR MORE complex than, DEMOCRATS GOOD, REPUBLICANS BAD. . . :sigh2:

So, how are the unemployment numbers?

Unemployment claims?
