It’s time for the left to resist leftist fascism™. As democrats continue to fire government employees who obviously have an entitlement to forever jobs,
come on leftist jihad warriors, it’s time to take to the streets and burn buildings.

Democratic Maryland Gov. Wes Moore is a fascist. Sorry, that’s the rule, I didn’t make it up. It was the media and the swath of government workers who got pink slips at the State Department this week. You’d think these folks were selected to be executed by their reactions, a coddled, entitled weep fest as these staffers thought their government jobs were lifetime contracts

I would expect the more excitable of the leftist jihad warriors to immediately storm the Maryland Statehouse and resist fascism

About half of the increase of 147,000 jobs last month came from state and local government.

Per the Bureau of Labor Statistics in June:

Government employment rose by 73,000 in June. Employment in state government increased by
47,000, largely in education (+40,000). Employment in local government education continued to
trend up (+23,000). Job losses continued in federal government (-7,000), where employment is
down by 69,000 since reaching a recent peak in January. (Employees on paid leave or receiving
ongoing severance pay are counted as employed in the establishment survey.)

One thing that hasn't yet kicked in are jobs resulting from tariffs. As the vast majority of other gains came from health care and social services.

The difference between this and what trump did was trump added a threat to fire those who chose not to participate.

Did you steal that after binge watching the cows onThe View?

Nobody is entitled to a job.

Nobody is entitled to a job.
The fascist™ Democratic Maryland Gov. Wes Moore will have to As’plain that to tge entitled government employees and the fascist™ leftist acolytes.

If Trump is a fascist nazi for firing bureaucrats, why aren't libs like Moore?

Wes Moore is a Democrat in a state with a Democrat dominated legislature, so there is no other reason for this except if Moore is goosestepping to a German march.

After all, he can easily raise taxes to pay for this, maybe massive new levies on Millionaires and Billionaires?

The Thread Title (derived from the OP link).

Well, it's a lie.

No "Hordes" were notified they were being laid off. What the Governor announced was two things to help meet a budget:

#1 A hiring freeze.

#2 A Voluntary Separation Program (VSP), and no, a VSP is not layoff as with a layoff you get fired. With a VSP you are voluntarily taking the offered buy out to leave your job.

WW

The administration said higher education and judiciary positions likely will not be impacted.

You know, where all the six-figure salaries in youth indoctrination and where the lawyers are.

Lets put it in prospective instead of republican drama

They have layoffs every year. There is a budget crisis and appears no money available to pay them.

the district faces a $730 million deficit.

They have layoffs every year. Gee I wonder where was the outrage last year and years before.

The district plans to host a hiring fair in hopes of retaining some employees. CPS says with previous layoffs, about 80% of employees were able to find a new job within the school system.

CPS says staffing can fluctuate based on students’ needs.

a statement, CPS said 1,458 positions will be eliminated as part of its budgeting process for the upcoming school year.

The cuts are a 3.2% increase from last year’s 1,110 layoffs and include the following:

So it is something that happens every years.

My guess they hire based upon what is needed.

Story does mention that the layoffs happen every year.

For Teachers in Chicargo that is a way of life. They hire as needed and will cut when needed.

The city is solid democrat and has been for years. Nothing will change

Chicargo has a population of 2.7 million

It seems that they hire what is needed. And will let some go as needed. Especially after the school year ends.

BOTTOM LINE teacher layoffs are a common occurance everywhere as school in session is only a few months a year. It is not a job that last a year.
