It’s a perfectly appropriate and warranted call to reallocate funds to address the root cause of many issues sworn officers must deal with, such as homelessness and mental illness.

Indeed, it’s pro-law enforcement because it seeks to keep sworn officers out of situations they’re neither trained nor prepare to deal with, reducing the risk of career-ending incidents when encountering the mentally ill.

Personally, I wish the police had mistaken her call thinking the gun intruder was INSIDE her house, bust down the door, shot up the place, broke numerous valuables, thrown her against the wall, handcuffed her, shot her husband in the balls mistaking his cellphone for a weapon, thrown her on the ground, and kneeled on her neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds before realizing she was the star who had called them in the first place!
