As already correctly noted: impeachment is a political – not legal – process.

Due process comes into play when one is subject to criminal prosecution by the state – where his life, liberty, or property are in jeopardy.

Trump is not subject to criminal prosecution, he hasn’t been charged with a crime, and the right to due process is not applicable.
