Death Penalty on its way out

Once Hillary gets elected, expect her to stock the Supreme Court with liberals. Probably a 6-3 liberal edge

Given the right case, expect the Court to rule capital punishment as "cruel and unusual" within ten years

and then people will begin to take justice into their own hands if they feel the system does not fill their need for vengeance.

No they won't. That's patently ridiculous.

People in Texas want the death penalty, if the feds take it away from them, does that desire simply go away?

The majority of people? Or the minority that has a gerrymandered stranglehold on the state.

More and more, Texas is fast becoming normal.

Keep thinking that Shallow.

Now, lets look at the remaining states that still use the death penalty

16 do not allow the death penalty
12 have had fewer than ten executions in the last 40 years

The majority of executions take place in a few states primarily influenced by Baptists

your map shows massachusetts has no death penalty... must be an old chart.

And you think 3 hots and a cot is a just punishment for him?

Will they react like they did for Jade Helm or more like Cliven Bundy?

Will Texas resort to lynch mobs to satisfy their lust for blood?

ban the death penalty without the consent of the people, and see what happens.

With the exception of Jesusland, most of the country has abandoned the death penalty

There were no riots and no taking the law into your own hands

Nope. pre-meditated murder, especially on a large scale, deserves death, nothing less.

true, as with most death penalty trials...they are federal cases.

I believe that if the Democrats win in 2016, the death penalty will be the last thing on the minds of Americans.

When the Democrats win in 2016, Hillary will stock the Supreme Court with liberal judges

Won't be long until a death penalty case comes their way

Jesusland will be pissed
I don't think this is how it will go down. State-by-state eradication will precede the end of the fed penalty, and that too will be legislation, rather than an order.

That's how my crystal ball sees it.

I think it will be like what happened with gay marriage. The Court ducked the issue until we had a majority of states allowing it. Then the court jumped in to allow it in all states

We have already reached the tipping point with the death penalty. Very few states are actually using it. Those that do, use it a lot
A liberal court will ban it as cruel and unusual

It may be these next appointments, but I see this happening 40 yrs from now, after California and Texas state legislation. Texas ain't no Kentucky! They can retreat to methods that work better and are more humane than a life sentence.
