Do you have something on your list that is a "deal breaker" - either now while dating or if married, BEFORE you got married?

Anything that is an instant turn off upon meeting someone?

I could never understand people's obsession with celebrities and what they do etc.
The receptionist at one of my old jobs was fascinated with Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie .... she even owned a Chihuahua and would bring it to work occasionally....

Voted for Obama. That is a definite turn off.

I would have to agree...if I saw her reading People magazine...I might bnot be able to continue.

Seriously, I dumped a girl that was obsessed with reality TV, those damn super market tabloids, and what was going on in the lives of everyone else. It came to a head when New Orleans was underwater. I was over at her place and I wanted to see pictures of it because as I was driving to her place (it was an hour and an half drive) I heard the levies broke, and she was more interested in what this celebrity was with which one and who was pregnant, but I wanted to see aerial views of the city. She had no interest in seeing the pictures of New Orleans underwater, serious.

She kept on reading her tabloids, and didn't look up to take a look at the city under water. No interest at all, none. I knew at that point that relationship was doomed.

Regarding marriage --- It's always nice (obviously) if you get it right the first time, but when you are married, it really crystalizes what you REALLY want or need in a relationship. Unfortunately, often times, it's not the person you married.....

Hairy legs are a deal breaker, there was this model in an art workshop that liked me but I couldn't get past the furry appendages. The biggest turn off is if they act like they shit candy. No looks can overcome that dysfunction.

Also, if they don't like dogs they are too weird for me.

Was she very pretty but not very intelligent? I know that sounds bad.... but that is the image I get....

Women also don't like a lot of hair on men (well some women don't) - so I figured most of what I put up there could apply to both men and women....

I can't stand cocky guys either.... I don't think anyone can stay attracted to someone in love with themselves....

And if I can't wear her dirty panties as a mask, she ain't making the cut either. I have high standards and expectations which is why I have a great old lady for going on 24 years now.

Nah, just your typical tuned out young person. I stay in contact with all past loves. She's grown and matured since, had a couple of kids. She's not like that any more. lol
