Because democrats have the power to create mudslides.

Anyone who lives in California knows that the soil is unstable in some places.
Then you add to it the fact that the liberals in large cities refuse to allow proper irrigation and refuse to let land owners take care of their land without an okay from the EPA which sometimes takes years, and you get wildfires, and when all of the vegetation is burnt away you then get mudslides in rough terrain when it rains.
