Dallas and Florida…murder going down? But, they have guns there…

Unlike so many other democrat controlled cities, Dallas murder rate went down, not up in 2021……..hmmmmm they have Constitutional Carry that they just passed……

Does Constitutional Carry….carrying a gun, concealed, without a permit defeat Democrat party policies?

And Miami-Dade county……murder down there too….

However, some places have bucked the trend. One was Dallas.

They weren’t the only place, though. Miami is seeing a drop in murders.

The year 2021 started out with two mass shootings just outside musical venues that left four people dead and 26 injured — a foreboding start that seemed to continue a troubling violent trend from the year before.

Then something unexpected happened. Homicides in Miami-Dade County plummeted. Law enforcement leaders attributed it to stepped-up enforcement, a focused effort to get guns off the street and prosecutions. Others pointed to an array of social factors.

Whatever the reason, murders throughout Miami-Dade County, with its 2.7 million residents, declined by more than 15 percent compared to the previous year, bucking a national trend in which more than a dozen cities across the U.S. set all-time high murder rates.



Meanwhile, we saw the murder rate in Chicago and Los Angeles go even higher last year, higher than they had been in ages. So, anti-gun states are seeing their major cities have higher and higher murder rates, but it’s dropping in a couple of cities in pro-gun states

Gov. Greg Abbott said Wednesday he was sending troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety to help Dallas police after one of the city’s deadliest weekends.

Dallas police said the troopers’ focus will be on investigative operations.


Dallas Police Department officials, according to the governor’s statement, requested the support, much like in summer 2019 when the city was seeing similar trends in violence.

But this time the joint operation will likely look much different.


Sgt. Warren Mitchell, a Dallas police spokesman, said these plainclothes troopers will not be part of field operations such as patrol. It is unclear how many will be involved.

The announcement comes as Dallas recorded 220 homicides, compared to 180 this time a year ago. The weekend saw seven homicides in 24 hours.


In addition to state troopers, the agency will also deploy special agents, troopers to support gang and drug investigative operations, and a team of intelligence analysts.

DPS will also provide two helicopters and two patrol planes. A team of Texas Rangers will help Dallas police with homicide investigations. Additional resources will be made available as needed.

In summer 2019, Dallas police had a joint operation with DPS that focused on patrol operations, which was both praised and criticized. Critics said troopers didn’t effectively stop violent crime with aggressive traffic enforcement that led to hundreds of low-level arrests.
