Do you understand the value to a political figure to have tremendous public attention focused on him/her, especially attention over something so minor as this? It's not a murder trial, so if TRUMP! skates, the country relaxes and things are back to normal, except for the nutcases that pinned all their hopes for happiness on him getting convicted. If he gets convicted, the country laughs and relaxes because nothing happens to him beyond he writes a check and things are back to normal.
