Having programs that help people is not doing nothing, cutting those programs and then making the lives of those people more difficult, that is worse than doing nothing.

It was Democrats that closed the mental hospitals and putting them on the street.

When I worked at Temple University Hospital in the psych unit most if the patients were the so called homeless. They were schizophrenic, bipolar, PTSD, Wernicke's Korsakov's Syndrome, alcoholism and, addiction

DC did a pretty good job of cleaning up the homeless before by building shelters for them. I recall there was a pretty large one across from the Department of Labor. Not sure what has changed where people were able to get away with rough sleeping again
