If you want drugs for recreation and you're not a minor or mentally ill, you should be able to get what you want safely and economically. What you'll find is that, like alcohol, most people will be responsible users. Help and education should be available for those that want it.

So, they need more Metro Police to maintain the safety, and DC should get the funds to do so....

National guard can not do local policing, they can not arrest people, or get search and seizures, warrants for arrest, interrogate etc....an increase in actual law enforcement would give the city, more safety in return than our military can.

I enjoy drinking alcohol and I do it responsibly and in moderation. I did a variety of drugs in my youth but always responsibly and in moderation. Neither has ever gotten me in trouble.

False let me give you a lesson in history since I spent 4 years in an inner city mental unit. The homeless were created when JFK and democrats passed the Community Behavioral Health Act of 1963. This defunded all the mental institutions shutting them down. The mental health centers in communities were never able to treat the chronic mentally ill there werent enough of them.
Reagan signed a bi partisan bill that gave block grants to cities so they could build more mental health centers. They never built them. The homeless live in democrats cities. They are affected by psychosis, untreated PTSD, advanced drug and alcohol abuse, and major depression.
Democrats passed laws preventing long term mandated treatment. We can put them in treatment for only a few weeks then they refuse and go back on the street. Democrats created them and exploit them spending money on programs that do nothing but line the pockets of their supporters.

The vast majority of drinkers are not alcoholics. Almost everyone I socialize with drinks but none are alcoholics. I have every reason to believe the same pattern of addiction applies to all drugs.
