D Aspartic Acid?

D in front of an amino acid means it does not occur in nature so what is known about this supplement's side effects?

(I got a promo ad from one of my suppliers about this. I have seen cosmetic base EDTA di-sodium sold without warning on a supplements page. EDTA di-calcium is safe to use as a supplement the di-sodium version can kill within seconds. That is why I am nervous about this product.)
