Culture Shift

get yer ass to plowing the fields and maybe you can have a family. I have already done my duty of raising four kids, without a MAGAT cult culture running rampant in our society and government.

Uneducated blue collar workers used to be able to afford kids. Today poor people should not have kids. Especially if they do away with welfare, food stamps and obamacare. So poor people need to do what us middle class people are doing. We are choosing not to have kids so we don't fall into poverty. People in poverty now need to practice personal responsibility. No more welfare state.

Let's say you want to go to college and have kids. How much is college? How much is a home? How much do I need to save to retire at 65? How much does a kid cost? So many people today are having 1 or none. Life is good if you don't have kids.

And college only cost $5K a year when I went to school. $5,000 in 1990 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $12K today. My condo on a lake cost $50K $50,000 in 1990 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $120K today

I think young people today would have more kids if college only cost $12K a year and homes only cost $120K.

One more thing. Job security is important and today's young workers don't have it. I didn't have it either. Corporations in the late 70's broke the unwritten social contract that they had with workers. Back then people could expect to work for one company till they retire. Today the average length of employment is 5 years. I lost jobs throughout my career. Thank GOD I didn't have a wife and kid(s). That would have been very difficult. It was easy because all I have to pay for is me. And I have savings. Because I don't have a wife and kid(s)

If you work for a public school and belong to a union you can expect to have your job till you reach the age you can draw a pension for the rest of your life till you die. That's more important than making a lot of money. Knowing you'll have a job next year, and in 5 years, and in 20 years. Tenure they call it. I would have kids too if I had such job security.

You have been telling kids what to think for so long you think yer right, huh cult member?

That is true. I never thought about that. Teachers spend their days talking to people who can't argue back. I know a couple public school teachers. I can't believe how stupid they are. One of them told me she taught science and we got on the topic of insects and she didn't believe insects have brains

Yes, insects have brains. Their brains are relatively small, but they are complex and contain millions of neurons. These neurons allow insects to process information, learn, and perform various tasks.

And my sister in law. She doesn't know shit. She must strictly teach from the book and she only knows what's in those books. And she's considered a good teacher.

Sodbusters in Texas making six hundred a year didn't let a lack of funds stop them from having half a dozen kids. The reason why? It was not a period when everything was mechanized, humans are becoming a less desirable labor source for the wealthy, mechanized humans are.

I was institutionalized since I was five until I was in my twenties in places called schools, colleges and the military, the entire time my mind was somewhere else, somewhere free.

Me too brother. I didn't like church, school and I certainly wasn't going to sign up for the military where assholes get to make me do whatever they want. No fucking way. Why did you join the military? You a sucker or loser? lol

Tell me where the crisis is...

You're parents are poor and uneducated. You live in a community that doesn't have a lot of economic opportunity. Your public school sucks. How are you going to find your place in our society?

I have the answers. I just want to hear what you think.

So why did they attack Joe Biden when he was protecting his?
That's arguable.

He hasn't even acknowledged one of Hunter's illegitimate kids.

I joined for the educational benefits that they took away during Reagan. I did get two MOS certificates in electronics and electrical.

It's interesting to watch my wealthy brother raise 2 kids and his sister in law is middle class trying to raise 2 kids.

Again, she's a public school teacher who has job security. Tenure. And she became a teacher back when they raised your pay to $80K after you got your masters, that THEY paid for. So I repeat, it's a lot easier to decide to have kids when you have such job security. And her husband works too so they get by.

And knowing that you're going to get a pension that pays you 75% of your salary when you retire, for the rest of your life, you also don't need to worry about saving for retirement. So teachers can spend everything they make. They don't need a 401K. Most of us don't belong to teachers unions that fight for us like this. If we did we'd have more kids.

Yeah, yeah, only leftist policies can ever be positive. Your time has passed.
Only a MAGA believes that wanting a clean and healthy environment is “leftist;” or providing health providers for those in need is evil.

No wonder you people want to bring us back to the days when the rich ruled, the poor were serfs, and there was no middle class.

Who knows you may get your wish.

I can't believe how many people who belong to unions and will be getting pensions voted for Trump. I guess they got there's and aren't worried about the next generation. They'll say they worry for the next generation but do they?

I was self-employed for thirty-five years in construction and managed to raise four kids in a business that can be destroyed on a Black Monday.

They are rapidly working on it.

With all the welcome and refreshing cultural shifts taking place now, I wonder if over the next few years we will see an increase in families and children being born. We sure could use it.
My guess is that the birth rate in the US will continue its decline. Significant numbers of younger people have had their reproductive systems harmed by the clot shots.
