Maybe they were busy being it was lunch hour and weren't able to move the sun, the stars, and the moon to create a group of tables so that NINETEEN guests could sit together. If you go to a private business and are treated by the employees negatively and you did no wrong, then get the lawyers. Turning the cheek does not work many times. I have a feeling that we're not getting the whole entire story here.

Clearly, we are hearing one side only.

I would question why, in the face of such harsh treatment, the teachers would have the students purchase to-go food. That teaches exactly the wrong lesson, just as if a restaurant had refused to serve a group of black students so the teacher said, "could you hand us food out the back door at least?"

Cracker Barrel food is good, but not that good.

WTF? No it wouldn't.

Yes, I think it would have been refused by any restaurant.
I do not know how many disabled students they were showing up with, but a place like Cracker Barrel is very busy, and would not be able to deal with a whole busload of disabled all at once.
You have to call them ahead of time and ensure they have the personnel and reserved space.

I don't think I agree.
That is 18 special needs people to all come in at once, unprepared.
I would never do that.
They should have planned it and communicated it in advance.
