It is in their financial interest to do so.
I'm a 3 Hour drive to Disney. More like 2 hours+ if I can get the females to cut the Pee Stops down. So I've been there mutliple times. Usually in the Off-Months when they have specials for Florida residents but others as well.

Foreign Student Groups (Middle School Age) would visit Disney, en masse, at times and they had a habit of requiring all their kids to wear the same color shirt. Usually a reflective bright green or bright red or whatever. And they'd get in the line to a ride or an exhibit or whatever all at once. 100 at a time.
Lots and Lots and LOTS of foreigners visit Disney every year. I'd say it's one of the most favorite destinations in the US for tourists.
Disney is reflective of what's going on in the rest of the world to some extent. Keep in mind, these kids visiting from South America (for the most part) are mostly of European descent. Not all Spanish, either. Lots of German and Italian blood in the group. Believe it. A few Mestizos with practically no Indian (Native) Blood however. It's easy to see. It ain't cheap to do. To send your kid several thousand miles and pay for it in a deflated currency. So.....
Funny, that. How those who claim to be so open and understanding are the most closed and racist.

BTW, I haven't been to Disney in Decades. It isn't the same anymore. Based on my dated memory, I would recommend EPCOT over Disney 5 to 1 if your kids are over 10 years old. Under that, Disney is fine. YMMV.
Again with the dated memory -- we found it better ($$ wise) to stay on Hotel Row. Buses (dozens of them) picked people every morning and dropped us off evening. So access wasn't a problem.
It used to be really nice. It's still not bad. Disney does good work. Quality. It's just that I've been there enough.
