When I first noticed the comparison of S&Gs "Sounds of Silence" vs. that of Disturbed I assumed that S&G would easily prevail. Damn but I was surprised. Disturbed now owns this song. Despite his chin jewelry which I find to be as ugly as snot on a dog turd I'm about to go to Amazon and try to find an LP with with his version on it.
Judy Collins has done a cover of "Both Sides Now" which is startlingly beautiful and clearly better than Joni Mitchell's original.
