^^ This is why they should be teaching finance in the schools. Right here. Complete lack of common sense, lack of financial knowledge, lack of discipline, lack of planning for tomorrow.

Noel spent $30,000 on furniture, $10,000 on clothes and $10,000 on a trip to Mexico. Mike purchased a hair transplant and Pokémon cards, which he considered an “investment.”

Pokemon!

These people will be working until the day they die, and it doesn't matter how much money they make.

Financial literacy needs to be taught in grade school

They won't do it. The schools lean left wing, as we all know. It's about art, it's about music, it's about native American culture and how their land was stolen by ******. It's about black history month. And Karl Marx, and slavery reparations.

They aren't going to teach capitalism.

🤔

Land stolen by ******?
I wonder what word was censored by the pussification of this forum.

🙄

No, the schools intentionally crush curiosity, exploration, independance, creativity, community and cooperation

The sole purpose of the Prussian education system which the US adopted in the 1800’s to produce worker drones not thinkers.
Or as George Carlin said: They want people who are just smart enough to run the machines, and not smart enough to figure out how badly the system is screwing them over.

Jordan Peterson quipped - "The worst illness a person can have is a low IQ".
It is a life crushing sentence the day you are born.
And the worst "side illness" a low IQ person can have - is thinking they are smart.
So many people think money is a means to get stuff they want. That money represents what you could have, if only you had more of it.
To me, for a long time now - money represents peace of mind. The more you have, the less you have to worry about. As Forrest Gump said - "one less thing" when referring to the $millions he made. It meant he didn't have to worry.
It has been well over 30 years since I have ever stressed about paying bills. It is never on my mind. Everything is on auto pay. And it doesn't effect me at all.
That is better than more stuff by a loooong shot.

That's not much. Hunter goes through that in a month or less. But the people in question could have done better.

My wife's sister did that.

Very sad.
