Senate R's will never vote to convict trump in an impeachment trial. IMO, impeachment is no longer the check on presidential power it was designed to be because of hyper-partisanship.

It's manifestly true that trump's crimes were far worse than Nixon's but due to R's fidelity to power, not the country, they refused to convict him..........twice. If it were to happen the third time would be no different.
