MAGA Republicans created a false narrative about the immigration bill. For example, Representative Scalise claimed the bill allowed 5,000 illegals to enter this country before anything was done. That false information was repeated by pundits and by Trump himself. “Only a fool, or a Radical Left Democrat, would vote for this horrendous Border Bill, which only gives Shutdown Authority after 5000 Encounters a day.” The problem with their opinion was that the bill detained, screened, and then deported the first 5,000. If there were more than 5,000, then all illegals were detained and deported.The bill also gave “discretionary activation” to Homeland Security if there was an average of 4,000 per day over a 7 day period. If we put that in perspective, border encounters reached the 4,000 average in 2019 during the Trump administration.

The border patrol agents would not have supported a bill letting in 5000 people. Start reading other things besides far right trash and stop believing everything that comes out of trumps mouth..
