If we were willing to be more callous and more willing to take risks regarding ethics and not so concerned with environmental alarmism, could we advance faster technologically? Also, let's say we massively prioritized STEM to the point of disproportionately granting financial aid to STEM students. Additonally, look how much we argue about societal and political issues. What if we simply didn't give a shit?
