Cops will flee NYC if the commie wins.

If 10-20% of the NYPD ( Make lateral Moves to Other agencies ) ( Take Retirement or Early Retirement or Injury Settlement / Retirement ) ( Resign or Give notice ) … then it will cripple the Agency

"The NYPD is currently significantly understaffed, with its headcount at its lowest in over three decades. While there's no single, universally agreed-upon figure for the exact shortfall, reports indicate a deficit of several thousand officers. The NYPD's current headcount is around 33,695, which is below the desired 35,000 level." From AI.

That's NOW, Failzero! If anyone thinks that will get better under Mamdani they're delusional. With a Mayor like him they'll be quitting in droves or even more significantly...they won't be getting out of their cruisers because they'll know that their boss doesn't have their backs if something goes wrong!

Doubtful that will happen.

This kinda shit is always talked about but never comes to pass.

Except it did happen. Since 2020 when the Floyd riots started and attacks on the police became fashionable there has been a massive increase in retirements and resignations from the NYPD. My brother was a detective (not with NYPD) and left earlier this year. He put his time in and said the job wasn't worth staying anymore.

According to the latest August data obtained by amNewYork, the attrition rate of officers either retiring or calling it quits before reaching the 20-year mark has reached a staggering high. The department has lost some 14,500 cops in the past 4 1/2 years, that’s almost half of the number of officers currently on the job.

The data provided to us shows that in 2025 alone, an average of 316 NYPD rank-and-file officers departed the NYPD every month. Police have lost 5,248 individuals since January 2024 and have hired just 4,244 new officers in return.

When you're losing your experienced investigators and replacing them with inexperienced investigators your numbers of unsolved crimes is going to sky rocket. That won't affect the rich liberals that will be voting Mamdani into office but it will sure as hell affect the poor of New York City. That's a city that is about to enter a dark age. Get out now while the getting is good!

This is an opinion that is not well evidenced, "there has been a massive increase in retirements and resignations from the NYPD." Give us figure over the last twenty years.

Sure thing - do you Trumpettes ever get tired of posting nonsense. Re OP below, stupid and hateful pretty much fits the average Trump cheerleader.

Other cities in the country are experiencing huge increases in population as people flee New York City, Chicago and all of California, John. They've been offering large signing bonuses to Police relocating. Even more importantly? They stand behind their law enforcement and let them do their jobs. You think any dedicated Cop is going to want to work for Mamdani? They'll be leaving NYC in droves!
ICE is currently offering spectacular signing incentives. Federal benefits are among the best.
