I agree but they could of tried to capture it and take it to a woods someone, but a deer in town would cause an accident. He probably did what he was told, shoot it and we'll send someone to pick it up.

Actually, all he had to do was move forward very slowly and the deer would have simply moved on once pushed by the car.
There was no actual need or reason to shoot the deer.
