Cop Avoids Jail Time For Raping A Child - Justice?

i stand corrected…but that’s another case where a special prosecutor was brought in after the local DA recused himself

After the video was released and the uproar started over the DA failing the people.

"A former sheriff’s deputy in Tennessee accused of raping a 14-year-old girl struck a plea deal with prosecutors last week that keeps him out of prison and from having to register as a sex offender. Brian O. Beck, 47, was indicted by a grand jury in June 2018 on charges of aggravated assault, rape and sexual battery by an authority figure, he reached a deal with prosecutors on Feb. 28 in which he pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault.

Shelby County District Attorney General Amy Weirich said Monday in a statement: “Given the totality of evidence, we ethically could not proceed to trial on the indicted offenses. The decision was made in consultation with the victim.”

So is this justice or no?? Was the a situation were an activist judge sided with a cop over the victim of pedophilia and aggravated assault? Were Deep State Dem prosecutors trying to railroad this guy and didn't have a strong enough case to go to trial with?? and if the victim's family was ok with it; that could mean the cop was innocent or that the little girl was no angel....Maybe she seduced him....According to the case, the sexual assaults had been ongoing for 20 months; which means at least starting when she was 13 yrs old. He did plead guitly to felony aggravated assault however -- is it common for a grown ass man to commit FELONY aggravated assault on a child and not face any jail time??
Meh. He's positioned himself for leadership at FBI, HSA or the DNC. He could even be Newsom's running mate in 24

Well because she is 14, that makes it automatically statutory rape.
Secondly, he was also charged with aggravated assault. But that could be anything, unlikely anything serious because "... with bodily harm" is not added to the assault.
As a part of his sentence he cannot contact the teen, or converse with her in any way. Which suggest the two were in a relationship.
No matter whether it was "consensual" or not... it is dead wrong and should be a prosecutable offense.
Children should be protected. Even though today in many ways they are not.
