At least one mail ballot and several pieces of campaign literature were among the discarded items.

A U.S. Mail contract postal worker is accused of throwing 1,000 pieces of mail — including at least one mail-in ballot and 400 political mailings — into the woods Tuesday in Orange County instead of delivering the items just before the Nov. 5 election, according to a new federal criminal complaint.

Ottis Nicole McCoy Jr. tossed the mail into a neighborhood cul-de-sac in Alafaya Woods, authorities said in the criminal complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District Court’s Orlando division.

Suspicions about McCoy were raised after another employee helped McCoy load the day’s route that morning and McCoy left “with a very large quantity of U.S. Mail” to deliver Tuesday but instead finished the route earlier than expected, the complaint said.

McCoy’s boss at Cummings Contract Delivery Service Corp checked the GPS under McCoy’s car and could see the postal worker veered off his route. Another delivery service employee drove to the empty lot and found the mail scattered on the ground and in the bushes, the federal records said.

Today, I got 7 pieces of campaign literature, so far I got 24 pieces this week. I'm sure its a burden for the mail delivery people, especially as they are also delivering all the bullshit about Medicare open enrollment from various insurance concerns.

thats what they get for hiring temps....they were warned years ago....
Those who deliver the mail should NEVER be temporary or contract workers.
They are dispatched to the streets without anyone watching they actually do their job properly.

Temps should be limited to those working inside postal facilities where supervisors can keep an eye on them.

This is why delivery of the mail used to be, and should be entrusted only to "career" employees.

all the stories i have seen with those dumping mail were temps....and they did not dump it for political reasons....they could not get the route done so they dump a few relays....they figure who would know?....

Third attempt of election fraud within a couple of days. I'm so glad that we got people watching them like hawks this time. The left truly knows that they're screwed and is in a total panic.

Edit: Oops another topic made about this already sorry.

They also figured by the time somebody found out, their temporary appointment would be over.

Temporary postal workers, also known as Postal Support Employees (PSEs), are hired for a maximum of 360 days.

Sounds like they were already onto him.

It's still a little over a week to go until the election and they're already trying with this BS. They know Trump is going to win so they're already getting desperate and starting to sweat.

There is a long history of overworked postal workers finding way of getting rid of the mail they didn't deliver.

There are several examples of postal workers who have been caught with large amounts of undelivered mail in their possession, including:

Jason Delacruz
A mail carrier in Chesapeake, Virginia who rented a storage unit to hide mail. Delacruz pleaded guilty to charges of delaying mail in 2019.

Aleksey Germash
A Brooklyn postal worker who hoarded 17,000 pieces of mail over a decade. Germash claimed he was overwhelmed by the amount of mail he had to deliver, but made sure to deliver the important mail.

David Blauser
A postal worker in Bustleton, Pennsylvania who disappeared without a trace in April 2010. When investigators searched his garage, they found 12,808 pieces of undelivered mail, some dating back to 1997.

If you suspect a USPS employee of theft, fraud, or waste, you can file a complaint with the USPS Office of the Inspector General (OIG) online or by calling 1-888-USPS-OIG (1-888-877-7644).

Career employees have been known to do it too...

I posted a number of bad eggs. But one thing they had in common is that the career employees held onto the mail, and didn't throw it away.
They intended to deliver it, but it just kept piling up.

Temporary workers would just find a dumpster, or other way to dispose of it.
