Consumer Price Index rose 3.2% in October

That is down from the 3.7% in September. The Fed and the WH are slowly shipping away at a, pandemic caused, spike in inflation. If this trend continues into December, the Fed may leave interest rates at their present level. Bidenomics in slowly working and should lead to a long term trend of stability in the US economy. Other countries in the world are still seeing record high inflation, no so true of the US.
Economists look at absolutes like you do but more at trends so stop rejoicing
the index rose at a 3.4% annualized pace over the past three months. As recently as August, it was 2.4% by this measure.

Ah, no.
Just an old retired business guy who operates the family farm and now does soys & corn.

And, with Bad Vlad dramatically reducing the world's grain supply by his rocketing the hell outta Ukraine, well, and I am mildly convinced you know this ----but, when supply goes down, and demand remains the same.......there will be upward pressure on the price of that reduced supply.
(ps...beagle, that is from a TED Talk by Captain Obvious).

So, the end result for us U.S. farmers (and Brazilian, Argentinian, Canadian, et al) is this has been a good year for crop income.

Now, to be sure, Russia and Ukraine are both big producers of fertilizer and their mining of that has been reduced, hence, driving up our input costs. So, it is not a pure and clean upward spike in profits. Some costs increased.

But, if growing a good crop and being able to market it profitably makes us 'elitists' ......well then, there are a whole big bunch of grain farmers across the world who are now inside your "rich elitist" lumping.

IMHO

You sound reasonable, so I will try to explain.

The Ukraine is historically, ethnically, and economically important to Russia.
Kyiv used to be the capital of Russia, and they only moved it further north because of the Mongol invasion of 1200.
The only anti-Russians there now are the ethnic Polish in the west, who invaded and were defeated around 1700.
The ethnic Polish hate the nomadic herders from Asia, like the Mongols, Moghuls, Turks, Cossacks, etc.
And example of these bigoted Slavics is Vlad the Impaler.

So the US bribes to cause the Maidan coup in 2014 were actually war crimes, and ended the democracy in the Ukraine.
All the opposition candidates were either murdered, imprisoned, or exiled.

The Ukraine then after the coup, started violating treaties that amount to acts of war.
They tried to prevent Russian use of Sevastopol, which not only is a treaty violation, but the Crimea should never have been given to the Ukraine by Khrushchev in 1956. (Khrushchev was a secret Ukrainian.)
They tried to join NATO, when they not only had agreed to never do that, but since the Ukraine was inside the Russian defense net, would make Russia vulnerable to a nuclear first strike.
(unlike long range ballistic missiles normally used to launch nukes, in the Ukraine NATO could install short range cruise nukes that could not be detected before they hit their target.)
Kyiv also started murdering over 30k ethnic Russian in eastern Ukraine.

So not only did the illegal war in the Ukraine cost us trillion to the national debt, but the US sanctions on Russian oil caused world wide price spikes, not only in oil, but everything transported with oil fuel.
Economic sanctions on civilian commerce were made illegal by the 1906 Geneva Conventions.
They also violate the 1st and 10th amendments.

You are not reasonable and your exolanations are lies

The history is irrelevant. Much like israel nationas are not defined by who the oldest people are living within them

There were NO such bribes behiind the coup as you claim.

There were no such treaties for Ukraine to violate. No one wanted to or attempted to put nukes in Ukraine and they had every right ot try and and join NATO. Whether such a move would habve made Urssia feel threatened is irrelevant.

The illegal war was started by Putin. Sanctions are legal

Again that is silly because the price increases in Venezuela are from illegal US economic sanctions, not inflation from buyer competition.
WRONG

we had NO illegal sanctions and the problems of Venezuala were caused by socialism

Indeed the damage is done, all that free money during COVID has left a lasting legacy.
The damage the Democrats did with their psychopathic CovidScam will never disappear, true.
Over time wages will catch up to prices as they always do after periods of high inflation.

You have no idea what you're talking about on this.
Interest rates will come down, but hopefully never as low as they were for the decade after the 2008 recession.
Concur.
