This doesn't make us Socialist, where government controls production and distribution.

There is a balance to be had, but all these 'socialist' programs need to be driven by an economy capable of carrying the programs, yet the weight of these programs shouldn't turn workers and business owners into slaves of the state or else you will see the economy die.
