Consequences Arrive for Canadian Voters, and They Deserve Every Bit of It

1 May 2025 ~~ By Bonchie

Canada held elections on Tuesday, and in a stunning development, Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party completed the comeback. While the conservatives did make gains compared to the last decade, left-winger Mark Carney will remain prime minister, and the bill is about to come due.
After suffering under years of Trudeau's disastrous leadership, Canadians had a chance to change course. Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre, who was the odds-on favorite to win the election just a few months ago, had promised to lift his nation out of its decline, promoting personal and economic freedom.
The choice should have been clear. Instead, the voters of Canada decided that what they needed was an even more far-left lunatic to lead them. Needless to say, the results will be predictable, and I don't say that because I'm some kind of political savant, but because Carney has advertised all the destructive things he's going to do.

What could possibly go wrong?

None of this should be surprising given that Carney is deeply financially invested in the "net zero" narrative.

In short, things are about to get very bad up north, and Canadian voters have no one left to blame but themselves. I understand that President Donald Trump's "51st state" trolling and his tariff policies helped push a wave of nationalism that Carney took advantage of. I just don't care. Voters are supposed to be adults who make rational decisions. They aren't supposed to vote to further destroy their nation because another country's president made fun of them.
Over the next few years, as things get worse in Canada, no one in America should feel any sympathy. As their economy suffers, their jobs are lost, and their culture deteriorates, Canadians should be reminded that they chose this. What's done is done, and you can't save people who don't want to be saved. So let them suffer.

Commentary:
As we've already seen the results of this election has revealed that the Provence of Alberta is now threatening to secede from Canada's Commonwealth. The Provence's of British Columbia and Saskatchewan would follow suit since they are all second or third cousins to Quebec and Ontario.
Canada has nothing important that we don't have in abundance. The only thing they can give us is a lower price on things like oil, gas, iron ore etc than our US owner are willing to sell for. That is the definition of a zero sum gain.
Carney will have no sympathizers in the US. Trump is free to go in hard on them now. Had the other guy won, at least some Republicans would have tried to get him to take it easy. So expect higher tariffs and a worsening economic situation in Canada - and its already pretty bad there.
One has to question just how legitimate the election was when Carney was 25% behind prior to the election.

They just didn't want a right wing government in their country while under attack from our right wing government, that wants to make them the 51st state, whether they want it or not.

Democracy is hard. Often more than half the country doesn't vote for the winner as is the case basically in every Canadian election as we have 3-4 Parties (though only one of Liberal or Conservative will ever win).

Seems the U.K are moving in the other direction based on the immense rise of the Reform Party there. That's democracy.

So they have ballot stuffers in Canada too. I bet Soros money is behind this.

They also have a state run media, that is very simliar to ours in how utterly hostile to the nation they are.

Very not good for them.

I never had a beef with a Canadian, day to day, but, they are an interesting country, with interesting ideas of what you and I would think of as law and how they applies to their own citizens.

A media that pushs propaganda onto it's own citizens, getting them to support policiese that are killing them, is clearly... very bad.

Does Canada have a ballot box stuffing problem like America does?
No, their Legacy media is a hundred times worse than in the US.

Add to the fact that they have no freedom of speech, and what you wind up with is a permanent Left wing Oligarchy, which is what they now have.

I got a taste of their news when I visited Canada. I turn on the TV and on the news, there was a debate before the election. Some Left wing political loon took a whole hour on the newscast explaining a controversial position he had, defending his position the whole time. Then they panned to the conservative candidate asking him about his abortion stance. Basically he was allowed all but two seconds and was not allowed to talk about anything else and they ended the newscast.

That is the sort of crap you are up against in Canada.

Europe is the same way

Essentially democracy is dead in all of these places.

All countries eventually succumb to mediocrity @ least somewhat. Even here in our USA we have somewhere in the neighborhood of 25%-35% of American citizens that cannot think for themselves let alone make it on their own as adults, & so depend upon big government to be their all providing parents. The hive mentality/queen bee(big g'ment) is just the ticket the Canadian "dependies" were looking for. It would be nice if the American statist left would take up Canadian citizenship but unfortunately the statist left within America have an "objective" to reach so they will fight tooth & nail to remain within our America.

Has anyone figured out how Carney won this election when he was listed as 20 percentage points behind?
