Consequences Arrive for Canadian Voters, and They Deserve Every Bit of It

Canada held elections on Tuesday, and in a stunning development, Justin Trudeau's Liberal Party completed the comeback. While the conservatives did make gains compared to the last decade, left-winger Mark Carney will remain prime minister, and the bill is about to come due.
After suffering under years of Trudeau's disastrous leadership, Canadians had a chance to change course. Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre, who was the odds-on favorite to win the election just a few months ago, had promised to lift his nation out of its decline, promoting personal and economic freedom.
The choice should have been clear. Instead, the voters of Canada decided that what they needed was an even
more far-left lunatic to lead them. Needless to say, the results will be predictable, and I don't say that because I'm some kind of political savant, but because Carney has
advertised all the destructive things he's going to do.
What could possibly go wrong?

None of this should be surprising given that Carney is deeply financially invested in the "net zero" narrative.

In short, things are about to get very bad up north, and Canadian voters have no one left to blame but themselves. I understand that President Donald Trump's "51st state" trolling and his tariff policies helped push a wave of nationalism that Carney took advantage of. I just don't care. Voters are supposed to be adults who make rational decisions. They aren't supposed to vote to further destroy their nation because another country's president made fun of them.
Over the next few years, as things get worse in Canada, no one in America should feel any sympathy. As their economy suffers, their jobs are lost, and their culture deteriorates, Canadians should be reminded that
they chose this. What's done is done, and you can't save people who don't want to be saved. So let them suffer.
Commentary:
As we've already seen the results of this election has revealed that the Provence of Alberta is now threatening to secede from Canada's Commonwealth. The Provence's of British Columbia and Saskatchewan would follow suit since they are all second or third cousins to Quebec and Ontario.
Canada has nothing important that we don't have in abundance. The only thing they can give us is a lower price on things like oil, gas, iron ore etc than our US owner are willing to sell for. That is the definition of a zero sum gain.
Carney will have no sympathizers in the US. Trump is free to go in hard on them now. Had the other guy won, at least some Republicans would have tried to get him to take it easy. So expect higher tariffs and a worsening economic situation in Canada - and its already pretty bad there.
One has to question just how legitimate the election was when Carney was 25% behind prior to the election.
