Connection between Buffalo shooter and Nazis in Ukraine?

If the US were being invaded, would you go after the US Nazis who are fighting to defend their country?
I appreciate the question. a problem here is that the United States was the country that fought and defeated the Reich . In ww2
Ukraine had tens of thousands of people who served the Reich in World War II.

Another problem. Ukraine is the only country in the world with a Nazi battalion in the modern era. So your question therefore is answered appropriately. The United States doesn’t have a Nazi battalion if anybody wore a swastika to a military session in the USA they’ll be kicked out and probably sent to military prison before they were actually discharged.

Another problem. Russia did not attack America. It invaded Ukraine. So why should I be against Russia? Russia did not help Iraq when the United States invaded Iraq. I supported the American military even in an unpopular war. When America invaded Iraq we caused millions of refugees to flee iraq. So therefore we can see even with a democracy invade another country there could be bad things that happened. America caused refugee crisis. But we also brought positive things to Iraq too. Those are the facts I think America is a hypocrite for being so much against Russia it is being a bad diplomat in the long run.

This thing goes back years. NATO kept growing and growing and again I assign blame to both Russian and American leaders for why we are where we are today. We need to figure things out

Finally what would you expect me to say my hometown Buffalo was attacked by a Nazi who wore the same symbol that the Nazis in Ukraine are wearing. What I’m saying is normal it is pro-American is on the side of freedom and all those Nazis will be destroyed. They’re gonna lose like they did in World War II.

They don't

The Azov battalion numbers just 2,000 out of an Army that numbers into the millions

and only 10-20% identify as Nazis or neonazis
From my end it does say that the battalion is a Nazi battalion. It’s right here brother. It’s a locked article as well so maybe there’s a translation issue if you’re looking at it in a different language

The Special Operations Detachment "Azov"(Ukrainian: Окремий загін спеціального призначення «Азов», romanized: Okremyi zahin spetsialnoho pryznachennia "Azov"), also known as the Azov Regiment (Ukrainian: Полк «Азов», romanized: Polk "Azov") and the Azov Battalion[a](Ukrainian: батальйон «Азов», romanized: Bataliyon "Azov"), is a neo-Nazi[6][7][disputeddiscuss] unit of the National Guard of Ukraine based in Mariupol in the coastal region of the Sea of Azov, from where it derives its name.[8]

OK so it’s still a major problem. No civilized military could have a Nazi battalion it’s the same thing as having an ISIL battalion. We need to look at Ukraine and see if they have terrorist training cells... training white supremacists like this maniac who attacked my hometown. This won’t stand anymore.

It's hardly a problem.
The US was defeating the Nazis, while at home the KKK was walking around lynching black people.

"The Moore’s Ford Lynching, 1946
Emmett Till, 1955
Charles Mack Parker, 1959"

The Ukraine has a "Nazi battalion" that is part of a National Guard, rather than a fully fledged proper military. They had issues with various militia walking around, so they got them all together. And another issue is the US isn't under threat from invasion, the Ukraine has been ever since the Azov Battalion ended up in the National Guard.

NATO expansion that concerns Russia really hasn't changed since 2004 when Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and a few more joined NATO. Since 2004 (when Putin wasn't as strong in Russia) only 4 countries have joined, small countries with 2.8 million, 3.8 million 600,000 and 1.8 million people. Hardly even worth bothering with.

No, anarcho-capitalists are as far right as you get....And they are so distanced form actual Nazis as to make your naive statement laughable.

This isn't the political spectrum. This is an attempt to redefine it by conservatives who didn't want to be seen on the same wing as Nazis.

The right wing has never meant anarchists and libertarians; it has always meant a social hierarchy, with some deserving more than others. For conservatives and libertarians in the healthy center right, that means hard workers deserve to keep their earnings while the lazy don't deserve handouts; that's a hierarchy. Ultra-nationalists are on the extreme right wing, though; their hierarchy is different (nationals deserve more, outsiders less) but it's still a hierarchy. The left has the social-justice types and socialists and, farther out, Communists and anarchists who dangle the promise of total equality, which is the opposite of hierarchy.

Communists and fascists (which includes Nazis) do have something in common - they're way out on the extremes, far away from democracy, which exists in the healthy middle.

Buying into schemes like this is just doing the fascists' job for them, because it convinces the decent conservatives that they're not their problem, but they are. Fascism recruits from the right, so it's up to those of you who are conservatives to stop trying to redefine the political landscape, learn what fascism really is, and kick the people that follow it the hell out of your town council meetings.

Are you being paid to be wrong?

The opposite of authoritarianism is no authority whatsoever: anarchy.....Fascism and communism are merely two slightly different flavors of a total authoritarian state.....They aren't opposites.

That's one of the many ways to contrast society, sure, but that's not the measuring stick political scientists talk about when they talk about the political spectrum. It compares *how* society is structured, not *if*.

No, that's how it works....Totalitarianism and anarchy are opposites...Parsing the variations of totalitarianism is the stuff of navel gazing "political science" theoreticians.

Numerous reports are showing the shooter supporting Nazism. We know that there have been white supremacists around the world that traveled to Ukraine to join pro Ukraine battalions to support Nazism.

On the Ukraine Russia war I think the United States should be neutral. I’m not here to support either Ukraine or Russia. But again we know that there are far right issues in Ukraine there’s openly people putting Nazi swastikas on their T-shirts. Essentially it’s a Civil War in Ukraine going back to 2014. Common sense shows us that most Ukrainians and most Russians support their country. This is one where there are dignified people on both sides of the Russia Ukraine war. There are honorable Ukrainians and there are honorable Russians.

As we know the Soviet Union gave 27 million people in the fight against Nazism. Ukraine has a pro- Nazi issue unfortunately even though the Nazis in Ukraine are such a small number today they caused violence and they are openly wearing Nazi symbols.

I also believe parts of the American media and some American politicians are big-time hypocrites. If they are against white supremacy they need to talk about the white supremacy and Nazism in Ukraine.

I’m proud of America and I support the American military... I support American ideals and American institutions because we stand against white supremacy and Nazism. I’m from Buffalo New York ....so knowing that the shooter was a Nazi this thing brings up memories of World War II big time. And the messages crystal clear the spirit of the allies will prevail over the Nazis of the world.
What a bunch of crap.....you sould like sloe joe trying to blame evverythig on white supremacists and nazis hiding under your bed.

You live in liberal fantasy land....grow a pair and try harder to be a real American and study up on abe lincoln.

People seem to have completely forgotten the Ukraine was up until recently widely known as a hotbed of crime and corruption. Know for Nazis, sex trafficking, drugs, money laundering, and counterfeiting various things.

Somehow it is suddenly a land of innocent babes taking strolls through the woods where they are the darlings of the world.

Granted I'm sure there are a lot of fine and average Ukrainians there, but it still wasn't a country known for being upstanding and moral just a few years ago.

Hitler described what "national socialist" meant in a speech once.
“We said to ourselves that to be 'national' means above everything to act with a boundless and all-embracing love for the people and, if necessary, even to die for it.” - Adolf Hitler
And similarly to be 'social' [socialist] means so to build up the state and the community of the people that every individual acts in the interest of the community of the people and must be to such an extent convinced of the goodness, of the honourable straightforwardness of this community of the people as to be ready to die for it. - Adolf Hitler

Hitlers policies of nationalizing the unions, worker control, redistribution, state capitalism etc backed these "definitions" up.
This is obviously left wing socialism, but it doesnt matter what side of the spectrum the NAZIs were on. They were totalitarians and their ideology should be despised.

Your spectrum graph was correct. The one they go by is bullshit.
If these people knew their ass from a hole in the ground, they would know you were correct, too.

According to liberals here and in the Administration, there are no Nazi's in Ukraine.

It's all Russian Misinformation...
Disagree with them, and you are Rootin for Putin.

Those of us who have rejected the Administration's take, figured this out months ago.

You just have to go back a short time, to before Biden and Putin had their love child Zelensky, to see that the lefty media regularly ran stories about Ukraine's neo-Nazi problem. On DNC orders, Big Tech has whitewashed most of it, but there are still links to these stories.

This is what the flag you fly represents, fascist.

The most infamous neo-Nazi group in Ukraine is the 3,000-strong Azov Battalion, founded in 2014. Prior to creating Azov, its commander, Andriy Biletsky, headed the neo-Nazi group Patriot of Ukraine, members of which went on to form the core of Azov. Biletsky had stated that the mission of Ukraine is to “lead the White Races of the world in a final crusade for their survival … against the Semite-led Untermenschen.”

Azov’s logo is composed of two emblems — the wolfsangel and the Sonnenrad — identified as neo-Nazi symbols by the Anti-Defamation League. The wolfsangel is used by the U.S. hate group Aryan Nations, while the Sonnenrad was among the neo-Nazi symbols at this summer’s deadly march in Charlottesville.

There’s more Nazis fighting in Russia’s Wagner Group than on the Azog Battalion.

There’s more Nazis voting for Trump by many factors than there are on the Azov Battlion.

So there’s that

More russian propaganda.....do not be so easily taken in .....investigate then apologize.

Too many clueless folks on here willing to sacrifice their their credibility and integrity to be a useful idiot for Russia.

Republican president William McKinley was assassinated in Buffalo, NY around the turn of the 20th century. Maybe there is something in the water.
