we are talking about 2 different things.....my comments were about what votto said...... basically he said if you pay lars nootbar more than mike trout he must be better ball player than trout because he makes more.....teams like the dodgers pay out a lot for a few players....the other guys on the team aint much better than the regulars on the other teams....the dodgers also lost a lot of playoff games with those high priced guys against lessor paid teams.....

MLB should put an asterisk beside each Dodger World Series win as they buy each World Series, just like they do with players who use steroids, or even players who threw a baseball game to make money.

Plus, they pay a penalty over certain team expenses. it is not guaranteed, but usually the top several teams in payroll go deeper into the playoffs. Local TV, streaming and radio contracts contribute to major league lopsided payrolls.
