Congratulations to the Dodgers on winning the World Series........

are you another who thinks if a player is paid more he must be a better ball player than the lower paid guys at his position?...sometimes that can be true but many times it aint...most players on the dodgers aint much better then players elsewhere......

Signing successful players FROM small market teams weakens the small market product mostly. Reducing fan interest. Reducing hope.

While it may prove a waste of money or a mistake? The big money doesn't rush out to get a Lars Nootbar hitting 0.200

Come on Harry, you're better than this. You're a US GOVT Employee or Pensioner.

Why have rules? Why have the luxury tax CAP? Why ban only some players for gambling? Yeah. It's rotten up in here. Nobody cares. It's all good. Small markets dont need to keep star players. It's too bad if outbid, almost every time. TV rules. How many sets can you turn on?

With $1 billion in salary IOUs, the Dodgers spark new questions about MLB’s fairness.

Dodgers have relied on them more than any other team. Of roughly $1.5 billion in known deferred money on active MLB contracts, the Dodgers account for about $1.04 billion — or two-thirds, according to data from sports contract website Spotrac compiled by CNBC.

Lars Nootbar needs to get better so he can have his own candy bar.

we are talking about 2 different things.....my comments were about what votto said...... basically he said if you pay lars nootbar more than mike trout he must be better ball player than trout because he makes more.....teams like the dodgers pay out a lot for a few players....the other guys on the team aint much better than the regulars on the other teams....the dodgers also lost a lot of playoff games with those high priced guys against lessor paid teams.....

When the Dodgers had their parade, the fans went nuts when Ohtani gave a little speech in English.

L.A. Hosts Yet Another Pride Parade

LOS ANGELES, CA — In celebration of a historic weekend that brought excitement and joy to the entire city, crowds gathered downtown as Los Angeles hosted yet another flamboyant Pride parade.

Revelers from throughout the greater L.A. metropolitan area made the trek into town, where they engaged in dancing, waving flags, and other austentacious displays of gayness that observers said topped the city's previous Pride parade from earlier in the year.

"This one was even more gay," said one witness. "We all thought the first parade the city held during the summer was over the top, with the lewd acts, leather clothing, body paint, and other stuff, but that was nothing. This one takes the cake. The gay cake."

Sources on the scene said that they were able to identify the event as a Pride parade after such a large number of celebrants were seen wearing Dodgers gear, long understood to be a clear sign of gayness. "It's just as clear as a rainbow flag," one attendee said. "This many Dodgers fans in one place can only mean two things — a baseball game or a Pride parade. In both situations, it's an unapologetic festival of everything that's gay."

City officials confirmed that today's parade was an even larger celebration than the previous parade. "This is two years in a row that we've had an impromptu Pride parade in November," one insider said. "Our thanks to the Dodgers for making this possible."

At publishing time, the Dodgers' front office reaffirmed its dedication to making every effort to ensure that the city would have opportunities to keep hosting Pride parades in November for years to come.

MLB should put an asterisk beside each Dodger World Series win as they buy each World Series, just like they do with players who use steroids, or even players who threw a baseball game to make money.

Everyone hates it when games are rigged.

Or they can just change the name of MLB to Dodger ball, and call it a day.

True but you don't win just because you have resources but you can't win (consistently) unless you do. You also need good managers who understand team chemistry, how to handle superstars, have a good mix of talented accomplished players and hungry up and comers.

One big thing is that the resources allow you to have a deeper bench, better scouts, more tech...
Mickey Mouse could have managed that World Series win

Hilarious.

You idiot, the Dodger manage agrees with me.

His ONLY rebuttal is that all the ball clubs should spend as much to be able to compete against them.

Naturally, not all of them can for various reasons, but he does not give a damn about that, nor do you, nor does MLB.

What morons we have on here.

The Dodgers spent over $320 million as where the Marlins only spent around $60 million.

If the $320 million was not giving them an advantage like you claim it does not, they why have the Dodgers dominated and won their division the last 14 straight years? It is all 100% rigged.

Fun fact, Pete Rose never rigged one baseball game, yet he was banned from MLB.

Logic and history are not your friend, but then, you are a Leftists, so...............................

yea like you....he is shoving your bullshit back in your face.....doesnt matter if you have high price guys and you cant win....which has happened to the dodgers and yankees quite a bit in the past hasnt it?.......the angels at one time had 3 players making over 30 million a piece....how many playoffs did they get in?...just because you get paid a lot doesnt mean shit if you choke in the playoffs, which many have done.....many times its the lower paid players who step up in pressure situations like we seen in this series....your problem is you think if someone pays max muncy more money than mike trout, that means muncy must be a better player....if you dont like baseball votto dont watch it......

The Angels only spent $190 million and 13th in payroll.

They are not serious contenders.

Bad example.

I just posted a video of the Dodger manager agreeing with me as he said, sure, we are expected to win every year, because of what we pay our players, but you completely ignore it.

Hilarious.

Plus, they pay a penalty over certain team expenses. it is not guaranteed, but usually the top several teams in payroll go deeper into the playoffs. Local TV, streaming and radio contracts contribute to major league lopsided payrolls.

$1B into two Japanese. Deferred? WTH.

Freeman Betts, Hernandez on and on. They outbid everyone.

Since 94' strike I've been more casual, but it appears teams like LA cause the $9 hotdogs, $58 parking, $16 beer, $1000 lower deck.

They help to weaken most small market teams even more.

Who wants to get in a bidding war with LA or NY? Listen to the media gush non-stop over the "Greatness". Please.

Hernandez is a character, but also a real clutch hitter in all the playoff games he's played in.
