Congratulations to the Dodgers on winning the World Series........

I WAS rooting for the Blue Jays, however. If the Dodgers keep their roster intact I think they'll have a decent chance of winning a third World Series in a row. That hasn't been done since the Yankees won three straight from 1998 to 2000.
i was surprised the phillies rolled over so easy....

Going to seven games and 11 innings to win can't be said that the Dodgers won easily though. :)

I imagine there are Blue Jay fans who still think it a wrong call when the guy sliding into home plate was called out.

But who knows. Get your bets in early for 2026?

not a fan of either but it was a great series, 18 innings and then 12 or so, it went back and forth right to the end

when you only have one team for your country fans are rabid

they panned the crowd and they were all praying, some people had their head down, kinda hard to watch the game like that

As a Boston Red Sox fan, I’m very enthusiastic to see the Dodgers win.,it’s just further proof that the best way to win a World Series is to BUY it. Red Sox ownership needs to be reminded that this “build drom within” bullshit is just that, bullshit.

Open up the checkbook John Henry. If you don’t, expect me not to show up at your stadium, buy your merchandise, or pay for your television channel or app again next year.

Uh Harry Dresden LA main core players are mostly free agents they outbid the entire league to sign?

I wasn't paying close attention but Betts may have came in a trade as he was asking astronomical pay at BOS? That's all the league is anymore. All about money.

are you another who thinks if a player is paid more he must be a better ball player than the lower paid guys at his position?...sometimes that can be true but many times it aint...most players on the dodgers aint much better then players elsewhere......

Yes. Congrats to the Dodgers. I have to say, though maybe it is just me, but a gained a new respect for the Blue Jays, that I basically ignored most of the year. Going into the series, I didn't think they had a chance. Watching them play in the playoff and the series, I have to say, they play some damn good ball, offensively and defensively. The 2025 World Series was a really good series, with two well-matched teams.

It was too close to overturn. If he had been called safe, that would have been upheld also.

Not in Toronto; their money bought misery.

Every team would do exactly what the dodgers did if they had the resources.
You need to pay to play........that's with all sports
those with deep pockets can cherry pick the best players
they then have the best chance of winning

yanks have not been so lucky but they spend top $$

True but you don't win just because you have resources but you can't win (consistently) unless you do. You also need good managers who understand team chemistry, how to handle superstars, have a good mix of talented accomplished players and hungry up and comers.

One big thing is that the resources allow you to have a deeper bench, better scouts, more tech...

Not wrong, it starts with money and talent but how it's managed is a wrinkle in being a champion as well

Why have rules? Why have the luxury tax CAP? Why ban only some players for gambling? Yeah. It's rotten up in here. Nobody cares. It's all good. Small markets dont need to keep star players. It's too bad if outbid, almost every time. TV rules. How many sets can you turn on?

With $1 billion in salary IOUs, the Dodgers spark new questions about MLB’s fairness.

Dodgers have relied on them more than any other team. Of roughly $1.5 billion in known deferred money on active MLB contracts, the Dodgers account for about $1.04 billion — or two-thirds, according to data from sports contract website Spotrac compiled by CNBC.
