Congratulations to Charlie Baker in Massachusetts

The Union hacks loved the "Big Dig". ...
really?

and the Corporate entities that made Billions of Dollars hated it?

poor Sunni Man what a tool
I live in the Boston area so I know all about the "Big Swindle" (Dig).

Political hacks and Union thugs made a fortune at the expense of the Mass. taxpayer. .....

the partisan attacks and the political shenanigans that went into contracts are SEPARATE from teh larger picture.

Complainers are either ignorant and unaware of this or are disingenuous

Does it make navigating across Boston easier ---- Yes

Was it worth more than the Manhattan Project --- Nope

jesus, another one. What was the cost of a loaf of bread during the Manhattan Project era? Milk? Chocolate? Labor? get a grip. stop being a dime store economist. you suck at it. try putting forth an argument based on something of substance, rather than a partisan anti-political rant

Maybe it's time for Big Dig redux?

for all the problems that came with it, the Big Dig was and is an engineering marvel worth every cent spent

Not even close. More than ten million gallons of water a year have to be pumped out of tunnels leaking like crazy. A woman was crushed to death in the new tunnel when a panel that was glued rather than riveted to the top of the tunnel fell on her car. It has been a mess from the get-go. Thanks teddy.

problems caused by corporate malfeasance and shoddy workmanship. Who was in control of workers?

Pumping water out of tunnels is what happens in almost every tunnel where water exists. a mess? perception is not a very good basis to make coherent and cogent arguments regarding civic projects and corporate profits

Fucking predictable socialist drone. Leakage has far exceeded projections, so stuff that excuse back up there from whence you pulled it. Everyone had their hand in the till, comrade, from top to bottom (even *gasp* the heroic hardhat guys you want to believe are your 'brothers' in struggle). There is plenty of blame to go around for why teddy's ATM ended up being the mess we all watched it becoming year after year.

It's ridiculous to compare. Nothing is as cheap today as it was ages ago. get a life and stop trying to score cheap partisan points and attempting to pass it off as a discussion

Too bad you sound like Howie Carr. That turd was always a little fat coward -- true story

How many times have you stood up to the mafia in the face of very real death threats, you fucking big mouth?

10 red states that mooch off the federal government - Salon.com

the personal finance website WalletHub.com conducted an in-depth study of the amounts individual states are paying in federal taxes compared to the amounts they are receiving. WalletHub analyzed data from the Internal Revenue Service, the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. Commerce Department and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. WalletHub’s research demonstrates that, as a rule, the states that are the most likely to rail against “big government” are the most likely to be benefiting from it.

I've spoken with people who knew Howie when he used to go to an old pool hall back in Winter Hill. He was always a huge pussy boy.

Yeah? And I used to live on Winter Hill. So what? When did you ever stand up to death threats from the mob, tough guy?
