Normal people are protective of communism because they know it is an intrinsic aspect of the social behavior of all primates.
It is in our DNA.
Cooperation, communal support, and collective action is what allows primates to survive in a hostile environment, before we evolved intelligence and enough science for weapons.

Tell me a family, religious order, small tribal group, etc. that isn't communist?

The folks on this site you refer to as "lefties" are no such thing. They are classic internet trolls from the 90's here for many reasons, none of which are serious, reasoned or logical political discussion. Many of them are trying to win the site post count contest, while others get limitless satisfaction out of annoying gullible conservative members. I used to attempt sincere debate with some of them. Now they're mostly on ignore. Works for me. The other thing they think matters is post count or join date. Aren't they something?

It didn't take me long to figure that out. My guess is some of them are teenagers with nothing better to do. Ignore is your friend.

While speaking at a rally for Senate candidate and state Attorney General Patrick Morrisey (R) in West Virginia, Trump spoke about his evolving relationship with Kim.

"I was really being tough and so was he," he said. "And we would go back and forth. And then we fell in love. No really. He wrote me beautiful letters."

The perpetual Leftist "apology" for socialism/communism is that "It has never been done right." Point to North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, point out the horrific excesses, the corruption of the elite, and so on, and it always comes back to the same thing. They will never acknowledge the fundamental Achilles Heel of communism - that HUMANS cannot be treated equally, ignoring excellence and merit, ignoring sloth and slovenly work, and expect anything other than devolution to the "lowest common denominator."

Naturally, on a political discussion site, there is a lot of discussion about communism. The pattern that I see over and over is condemnation of communism from righties, and support and defense of communism from lefties. Why don't we see lefties condemning communism? Even in this very thread, we will see lefties trying to protect communism with attempts to derail the thread instead of condemning communism. Why don't lefties condemn it?

There are simply not enough morals to go around to implement Communism. Only right-wingers fixate on communism while preferring their socialism on a national or international basis.
