Your thought is just as binary, Mac. You don't seem to allow for any subtlety. You're dodging, and ignoring, the fact that Democrats do pursue socialism. But you seem to think that unless Dem policies create a 100% communist state, that they aren't pushing in that direction.

But they most definitely are pushing in that direction, and I intend to push back.

Communism no more has a place in the conversation than does anarchy. Our political discourse is polluted and distorted by paranoid hyperbole enough as it is. I don't see its value, at all. Maybe that's just me. I know it is on this board, for the most part.

Under the bill the government will start supplying all manner of things: Wifi, daycare, housing, electricity, rail travel, electric cars, electricity (green energy) , yada, yada, yada.

To not have socialism would require going back to feudalism, where only the wealthy had education, legal rights, adequate nutrition, safety, pensions, etc.

Feudalism is when an minority, wealthy, elite, control your life by force.
Socialism is where the majority, which is mostly poor, provide public access to necessities you could not have afforded on your own, by consensual pooling of resources.
For example, in almost every village or town, water is provided by a socialist water utility that is communally owned and operated.
