Communists -Greenies are Lying to You About Nuclear Energy

come on man they would never do that
I am not sure about it,
Nuclear Power? Yes please, 🇨🇦Green Party! ;)
ps By the way, many of our "antinuclear" politicians- activists are sure to be receiving ($$$$) "help" from 🇷🇺putin, iran, communist Han-China

Nuke is very expensive. It's only useful for baseload power. It has to run flat out & can't be throttled up & down to meet demand.

Buildings kill 100 x more birds than wind

Are subsidies and back up costs included on wind ands solar? No

Contaminated Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant huge waste of time & money.

I beg to differ with your analysis. Most grids have multiple powerplants, nuke, coal, and/or gas.
My proof is the electricity cost for electricity in France, who uses nuclear, and Germany, who shut their nuke plants down.

The US average electricity cost is €0.18 /kwh, or twice France and 1/2 of Germany's cost.

Birds aren't killed by buildings you idiot. Wind turbines kill birds.

Thats because shutting down a nuclear power plant is extremely expensive, costing billions of dollars, due to long-term radioactive waste management, dismantling radioactive components, site cleanup, and potential regulatory hurdles, taking decades to complete, with costs far exceeding initial estimates for plants. Prices have been falling since the cost spike from decontaminating the nuclear plants & shortages due to Ukraine war.

Total BS. Energy in Germany is 30% more then America thats why manufacturing it leaving and coming here.
In 2026, the shift of manufacturing from
Europe
to the
United States
is driven by significant economic incentives, high energy costs in Europe, and the strategic push for domestic production.

Key Drivers for Relocation
  • Subsidies and Tax Credits: The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the CHIPS Act have drawn billions in European investment through generous tax credits and direct subsidies for green energy, semiconductors, and electric vehicles.
  • Energy and Regulatory Burdens: European firms face higher energy costs and stricter regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR) compared to the U.S., prompting many to seek a more "unified" and growth-oriented market.
  • Tariff Mitigation: By manufacturing within the U.S., European companies can avoid potential import tariffs and supply chain volatility associated with cross-border trade.

Notable Companies Expanding in the U.S.
  • Volkswagen: Committed $7.1 billion over five years to boost its North American product portfolio and R&D capabilities.
  • Sanofi: The French pharmaceutical giant plans to invest at least $20 billion in the U.S. through 2030 to enhance manufacturing and research.
  • Novo Nordisk: The Danish weight-loss drug manufacturer relies on the U.S. for a significant share of its sales and is increasingly focusing production there.
  • Rolls-Royce: Investing $75 million to increase propulsion and power manufacturing capabilities in South Carolina.
  • Roche: The Swiss pharmaceutical leader is investing $50 billion in the U.S. over five years, including a major expansion of its Indiana diagnostics hub.

Strategic Industrial Shifts
  • Regionalization: Many firms are adopting "friendshoring" or "regionalization" strategies, moving production closer to final consumers to reduce reliance on long-distance global supply chains.
  • Capital Accessibility: European startups and established firms are increasingly moving to the U.S. to access deeper capital markets and higher valuations on exchanges like the Nasdaq.
Despite this trend, experts note that the U.S. is not a total "panacea" due to its own challenges, including a widening labor gap and political uncertainty regarding future trade policies.
Are you interested in a specific industry's relocation details, or would you like to see a comparison of U.S. vs. European manufacturing incentives?

I have two sources that agree that Germany pays about 39 Euro cents/kWh

Germany is an energy disaster in the making. Manufacturing is leaving and coming to America. The more renewable they build the higher the cost and shortages get worse

Fortunately the US government printed the $600 Billion it spent cleaning up Nuclear waste & contamination instead of adding it to our electric bill. That same amount will be spent in the near future on continued cleanup & containment.

US Nuclear cleanup is considered the largest and most expensive environmental projects in the world!

big updates : Trump says that the USA is going all in on nuclear power
I'm not a fan of expediting SMR nuclear power.
Some technologies need to have a track record before they get mass produced.
SMRs may be popular but they don't have a long history of successful operation, except in US submarines.

Me too — I’m a big fan of big, modular mass‑produced reactors. U.S. submarine nuclear reactors work for 70 years just fine, so why don’t we use them on land? As far as I remember, the Bolsheviks used submarine reactors on land. What about the USA?
