At my son's school they pass out Bibles, real communism....
Unless he goes to private Christian School , I find that highly unlikely .

Everything is 'liberal indoctrination' to you loons these days. Train your kids to close their eyes and plug their ears. That'll make them super conservative![]()
I've been on a political warpath with the Republican party for a few months now and in doing some research between my rants I found something I have NEVER KNOWN until last week. I found this thing about an entry into the Congressional Record back in 1963. It's a list of 45 goals for a Communist overthrow of America.
Number 17 on that list:
"Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism, and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in text books."
In a very short 50-year period I'd say "We've [Communists] come a long way, baby!!!"
Damned near every item on that list has already come to pass or is very quickly coming to fruition.
The constitution of course. If you're going to change a document such as the constitution, you have to understand what you're changing and what the ramifications of those changes will be on society. Kids read the constitution in order to answer a few test question without really understanding what it means and the far reaching impact it has on society.A great way to think what?

What concept?I moderate a teachers conference each June, and a few years ago the buzzword was "Common Core".
These people were genuinely mortified of the concept.
The teachers themselves- the ones on the front line administering the bullshit that comes from the top echelons of this nightmarish institution that is paradoxically referred to as "education".
Congressional Record is an acceptable source to informed and intelligent persons.
Reading much of the above far right reactionary nonsense makes me realize the local non-common core school programs in which they were taught, actually, did not teach them how to critically think or research or formulate a concept and then test it.

Try teaching them the one we already have first.
The Progressives rejected the Founders principles, including their notions of a fixed human nature and inalienable natural rights.
Instead, they believed in a human nature that evolved and changed, which in turn justified their efforts to break down separation of powers in order to expand the size and scope of government far beyond the Founders intent.
